Early test renders and lighting practice.
Getting back into concept art, simple sketch to more developed lighting concept of Sabina and her Great Dane exploring a tower.
More concept sketches
Visual development for a game I’m working on, some rough sketches, character design and environment work.
Some quick tests and sketches of the beginnings of a project.
Quick little sketch of an idea I’m working on.
I recently opened up an etsy store called CheryukiArt. I currently offer custom paintings and illustrations of pets and people. If you’re interested check it out here: www.etsy.com/au/shop/CheryukinArt?ref=l2-shopheader-name
Working on a series of goldfish drawings.
I’ve been pretty productive in the last couple of weeks - working on a prototype of a video game and working on finishing a character model.Â
I’ve started up a personal project of a video game to help broaden my programming skills and have thus far completed an interaction system and basic UI. I’m currently working on modeling and texturing the final assets of the game, excited to see it going so smoothly so far!
Trying out new styles ~ this is a drawing for a personal project
Working on an animation about Dragons! Here’s some super rough wips and tests on stuff I’m working on - still have a long way to go, but I’m learning a heap and really enjoying making environment assets and sculpting dragons.
Man what a semester this has been! I’m in my second year of a bachelor of animation and it has been pretty full on. I’m currently commuting to get to university, but it’s definitely been worth it. I’ve learnt so much and it has really helped me decide what career path I want to take.
These images were for my 3D class - the assignment was to recreate a scene from an animated film or game in 3D. With only 13 weeks to research, model, texture, light and render while balancing several other assignments, it was very full on. Although it was really difficult and I wasn’t able to finish modeling everything I wanted, I really enjoyed this assignment and learnt so much about 3D.
The scene is the library from Beauty and the Beast. I used Maya, a little bit of Zbrush and rendered the images with renderman.
I haven’t updated recently since I’m back at uni and studying animation which takes a lot of time and effort - but I’m pursuing my dreams and working hard, though I have a long way to go I’m sure it’ll pay off.
I’ve been working hard at improving my drawing skills and trying out different styles. I haven’t had much time to draw for my own projects, but I’m learning a lot of new skills such as 3d modelling which I hope to show later into this semester.
These are some images of some drawings I’ve gotten in between assignments, they’re really rough sketches of belle from beauty and the beast and madoka from madoka magica, and the others are sketches of characters from a comic I hope to eventually work on, as well as a try at lineless drawing.

Every artist who sees this post should do the following:
- Watch the video.
- Follow the instructions
- Reblog
I can’t stress you enough about how important these exercises are for your drawing hand. You don’t wanna get CTS of Tendonitis and similar stuff that will prevent you from making art or even hold  a pencil.
Okay, this guy is my HERO. I just did these exercises as I watched the video, and already my arms and hands feel better. I have a degenerative tendon disease that prevents my muscles, tendons and ligaments from retaining their elasticity, and so anything that maintains the health of my bendy parts is important.
I URGE YOU. Even if you don’t draw, do these several times a day. Even just sitting at a computer can do serious damage. My dad, who was a rugby player, a carpenter, and now a handyman, suffered from severe carpal tunnel syndrome, simply as a result of sitting at the computer at the end of the day to play a little solitaire. Don’t let it happen to you!
((Guys, I will reblog this like, 5 times a day just so you all will see this. This is REALLY helpful, and it’s quick and easy.))
Wow, these are REALLY helpful. And yes, this is not just good but IMPORTANT for more than artists — if you type a lot, play a lot of video games, do anything that requires lots of repetitive movements of your hands, wrists, and arms (gardening, sewing, factory work), these can help. Even if you don’t yet get pain these are a great preventative measure, because the damage builds up over time. Youth is no protection.
And like he says, you should feel a stretch, but don’t push it too far!
Signal boosting. Guys, I just did this and holy cow do I feel incredibly light and limber in my arms. Again, even if you don’t have any sort of disease, do this as a preventative measure.
DEAR LORD THIS FELT WONDERFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH TO omfg-am-i-hallucinating-again FOR SENDING THIS TO ME
I have pretty f’d up tendinitis and this felt awesome.
Never not reblog, y’all
Just something I’m working on at the moment. I’m quite sad Gravity Falls is coming to an end, but I’ve loved this cartoon so much, so it’s the perfect time to fit in some Gravity Falls fan art!
