Suddenly it's December.

I was 17 twelve years ago.

But I tell people I am 22.

I am not, but I tell them I am anyway.

Although they know the truth.

I spend a birthday the next year,

and tell people I am 22.

I am 22 on a random day,

and 22 again the next year.

The year I truly turned 22 was the year

I wanted everything to end.

I wait for the world to end, so I can end with it, but it didn't.

So i figured I'll have to end myself, by myself.

And I didn't.

And 22 was bittersweet,

so I went on to feel more than that as 22.
