Phantom does not like Bruce Wayne, he tells Batman with a completely serious face.

Phantom is hanging out in the Watchtower, shooting the shit with Green Arrow.

Well, Phantom is talking shit about rich people.

"Sounds like a personal grudge," Batman comments idly. Lots of people don't like rich people, so he isn't actually offended.

"Oh, I just hate a select few. Oliver Queen? He's fine." Green Arrow visibly preens.

Batman feels a lip twitch, but fights the smile.

"What about Bruce Wayne?" Superman asks, very deliberately not looking at Batman.

Phantom snorts.

"Bruce Wayne? I hope he wrecks one of those fancy cars and needs both his feet amputated."

The room goes completely silent.

"Holy crap, kid; what'd he do?"

"He backed Vlad Masters is what he did. The Wayne Tech he provided was used to get one-up on me; took me literally two months to escape." The kid cracks his neck, and the high neckline moves enough to show off a shiny new red scar.

Bruce feels the world drop from under his feet.

"He what?" The question is ripped from Batman's throat before he even finishes thinking it.

"Oh yeah, he also financially backed the supporting senators behind the anti-ecto acts. Bruce Wayne is a literal useless sack of shit."

"...I'm sorry, the anti-ecto what?" Superman's voice is strained as he asks, and his eyes are already starting to glow.

Bruce, after getting back to the cave, pulls Tim aside and together they rip into every single transaction the board did both over the table and under it.

And there it is.

Multiple board members had been using Bruce Wayne's name as they donated to shady politicians, essentially sold off his developmental tech that was supposed to be disposed of, and had been embezzling funds.

On all official papers, Bruce Wayne was the biggest backer for a law that was in clear violation of Meta Rights.

Enjoy a Little Merleon Snippet I Wrote

exactly what the title says...this is the beginning of a Merlin x Leon fic I wrote like a week ago and never got back to. Very tempted to however...hmm...

Despite what many knights and lords and anyone chose to think—Leon hated night patrol. The way the wind bit at his nose, brightening his cheeks until he looked properly bashful and toes were damn near frozen in his boots. His arms had long since grown tired from holding the torch. No amount of passing between his hands relieved the pain for longer than a few seconds. It seemed however, His Majesty assumed Leon to be extra vigilant during the night; his name had graced the top of the schedule as long as he could remember. He was none to happy each time, with the same forced grin displayed with every joke Gwaine or Elyan decided to toss at him.

Patrol had been a quiet event. Quiet. And thus: boring. At time Leon’s mind would wander to past moments in his life, or things he could plan to drag his betrothed from his endless list of chores to join him. Each passing minute had Leon’s feet aching and wishing desperately for some—any—kind of indication that the next shift would approach him, and he would be free to drag himself to his chambers and collapse on the mattress.

At last the time arrived.

He removed his gloves—they were made of a thick leather and wool layered combination; certainly warmer than anything a peasant would have, though his were well-worn, nearly 3 years of hard use put into them and were now utterly useless against the cold—shoving one finger from each into his mouth. Leon stopped at one of the torches lining the stone walls, rubbing his palms against each other in a feeble attempt to create warmth between them. Indeed it was a feeble attempt, he realized when his hands felt somehow colder. So Leon carried on. As he walked he blinked rapidly, opening-and-closing his eyes every time they fluttered shut and he wanted nothing more than to slide to the floor and sleep.

Left. Left. Right. Past the dining hall. Through the squires quarters. Left. 5th door on the right.

The door was closed, a small plaque displayed with his title and name staring back at him. Stepping inside he found the fireplace to be lit—a fact both confusing and relieving to Leon…he was sure he had forgotten to tell the squire to light the fire before leaving for patrol—filling the room with a soft yellow glow. He unclasped his cloak, laying it over the back of a nearby chair with a glance to his beloved bed. A four poster frame with a plush feather-down mattress and more blankets than one would need in their entire life. He stopped short at the sight of someone occupying his side of the bed.

Merlin: oversized red tunic slipping off one shoulder but digging into the opposite side of his neck; neckerchief missing from his neck Leon noticed; his hair seemed to have a mind of its own the way it stuck in all directions, the ends curling slightly on the pillow. He was half sat up, having propped up one of the pillows against the head board. Leon smiled at the man who did not know he was there. He’d loved Merlin for the better part of three years. Shared kisses with the man; fed him strawberries in the forest on a secret picnic Merlin had snuck away from his chores to attend. If Leon were being honest with himself, Merlin had always been the man he wanted to court—and perhaps marry one day.

When Merlin first arrived in Camelot he had been an enigma. A strange spectacle for Leon and other knights to gaze upon whenever their then-prince was feeling especially cruel. Nearly a full year had passed before the two even spoke.

It was a hot summer day in Camelot. One of the hottest days the city had seen in weeks. Despite this, Arthur had made the decision to have a training session. Many knights, Leon included, were forced to brave the harsh sun so as to avoid their prince’s explosive temper. Many were struggling—some had forgone their chainmail and armor but still wore their tunics, not wanting to get sunburns—in the heat; Arthur seemed to take pity on them and called for double the water breaks. This meant, unfortunately, that servants were having to run back and forth to wells two times more than usual.

On one specific break Leon had managed to find a perfectly shaded spot under a nearby oak. Others joined him. Galahad, a young but motivated young knight who’d recently been promoted from his squireship. Alvin leaned up against the trunk of the tree next to Leon sipping from his water skien. He was a crass man. Easily angered and not a fan of any servants he deemed incompetent. Visibly frustrated by the lacking amount of water, Alvin made a show of tossing the empty skein on the grass with a huff.

“You!” He pointed up at the nearest one. A tall and gangly, black-haired boy Leon knew to be Arthur’s personal manservant. He wasn’t sure of his name. He wasn’t sure Alvin cared. “Where’s the rest of the water?”

The servant looked at the group, eyes darting from knight to knight. It was Leon who locked gazes last with an apologetic smile. He spoke in a rushed tone, fearful even, if Leon was to look closer. “Betty—the girl standing next to me—left. Was supposed get another bucket. Yes, another bucket,” He rambled. It was almost endearing.

Not to Alvin.

“We only get so many breaks, you know.” Alvin gestured to the limp water skein in front of him. “The least you servants could do is stay on top of your jobs,” He said in a tone that had Leon deeply frowning. It wasn’t unlike Alvin to insult members of the royal household but it also wasn’t unlike Leon to dislike that. “Honestly. How hard is it to gather water from a well.”

The serving boy looked startled. The vicious words had obviously cut deep. A few seconds of silence passed and just as Leon was sure the boy was going to respond, his knee buckled. Leon jumped forward to steady him with his outreached arm but he managed to correct himself before he went down sideways. Leon stayed close just in case.

“Alright there?”

“Yes! M’sorry.” The boy stepped away from Leon, rubbing at his eyes.

Leon chuckled. “Don’t be sorry; we’re all exhausted from this heat.” He lifted his own full water skein to show. “Would you like some water?” Leon ignored Alvin’s objections behind him and handed over the skein when the boy seemed hesitant. “Have some, please. Don’t need anyone passing out now, do we?”

The boy smiled at Leon. It was a bright boyish grin that Leon could not help but mirror.

“Thanks. I’m Merlin by the way.”

“Leon.”

Ive redrawn this like 4 different times because legitmately could not get them right. I had the mental picture THERE and it WOULD NOT TRANSLATE TO THE PAPER >:,( These may be scrapped AGAIN for a new set. But Im Alright with these for now.

This was a special effects test of something when I considered a comic but Opted to use it for other shite. I do very much like it though.

Im debating on translating half my notes but It's like 115 outside and I feel like a slow roasted pig in an oven (my house)
