October 22nd 2016 + I walked closer to the lake; frost crunching under my feet upon each slow step. The crisp air piercing my lungs, like a set of daggers. The water was absolutely still. Fog slowly rolling across; allowing a little glimpse at the picture perfect reflection below. Overlooking us the shining golden mountains stood like wise, majestic giants. The sky – quickly turning into those red hues of sunset, illuminated like a raging fire. At that waking moment, I saw the exact image that I’d heard my father sing throughout my childhood. The classic line from Deep Purple, “Smoke on the water, and fire in the sky.”
