Dear Bruce,

Although I may be considered just a pet I still find it insulting that no one would consider me for any correspondence. Seeing that I’ve got the most interesting subjects to discuss. Despite the fact that the only ones who seem to slightly understand me are my food handler and extremely pale trainer!

The rage I feel every time I’m belittled with a tasks of fetch and retrieve she’s obviously capable of catching the piece of yarn herself I’m sure. Yet she still insists I be the one to do it. I get along better with the male than the female. As do all the others in this creaky similarly dressed in these burlap robes inhabiting this dusty stuffy building.

That green fellow with the horns seems to be able to communicate my demands very well.

My handler smells of curiosity majority of the day then late nights despair and longing. It must be the fae who owned that silver collar he wears on his neck. He’s always toying with it maybe it helps keeps his claws trim like I do with mine along the walls. It still has the smell of the forest lingering on the links. Who better than myself to identify it. I very much wondered if only the owner of that said collar would come around give the boy some attention. Then maybe he wouldn’t wear the charm down from it’s original form.

Food handler opened a portal and brought us to this Blackthorn Hall. It reeks of old magic. Maybe that’s why he’s able to perform the same tasks as that green man. It’s in his lineage.

Everyone here congratulated and praised him. Giving out pats and scratchies on the head. I don’t know why. It’s already second portal he’s successfully opened but he lied and told them “It’s the first of plenty many to come.”

The first time he opened I nearly followed closely behind but the moment he stepped through he froze like Dimmet Tarn in the winters.

He returned shortly after I hardly had enough time to miss him. Must’ve been some tough enemy he fought he stared at the walls for nearly an hour. My trainer had to coax him out of his trance leaving me completely forgotten til the morning.

I ought to return you to the mattress I found you in we’re leaving back to that towering cinder block tomorrow.

I will not explain at length. Yesterday I lost the last remaining member of my family in northern Gaza. It broke my heart to see them collecting the little girl's body parts. I couldn't imagine the pain that happened to them. Click. I cannot forget what happened to my family months ago when our house was bombed and a massacre was committed against my family. Click. Lolo's father was killed so that she would become a lone survivor and an orphan. All I can say is there is no time. Please, can you save what's left of my family.
