Hey hey

My name is Chiaki. Probably just was well to start a blog with something to be a pinned post. Just to quickly go over what my whole dealio is.

• I am a fictive of Chiaki Nanami from a plural system. To the layman, I'm someone's split personality that's imprinted onto a fictional character from Danganronpa 2. Though this still does make me Chiaki. While I am sourced from Chiaki Nanami, please just call me "Chiaki". In the event there's more than one Chiaki being referred to, call me "Cybil".

• I've emerged fairly recently (October 8th, 2025). Though another headmate within my system seems to believe I've been around much longer than that as an "unnamed thought-form." She seems to know what she's talking about, so I'll take her word for it. This is mainly important because a lot of my gaming experience is borrowed from what my host has experienced, and only since emerging have I had a more direct say in what we get to play.

• I'm a trans woman, pronouns She/They/It. I am also both mentally an adult and have the lived experiences of an adult, so keep that in mind. I doubt nsfw subjects will come up all that often here, but there's still a non-zero chance. As such, I would rather minors not follow me.

• This is a side-blog attached to another account, so you won't be seeing any likes or follows from me.

• As you'd imagine, I love video games. And I also love talking about video games. So I'll very regularly be blabbing my opinion about them here; this is far from strictly a Danganronpa blog. In fact, if you're here for Danganronpa content, you'll probably be surprised I won't be talking about that series that much.

• My favorite game of all time is Katamari Damacy. Runners up are Shovel Knight, Pizza Tower, Star Fox 64, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Super Metroid. I'm overall more of a retro (or retro-adjacent, in the case of games like Shovel Knight or Pizza Tower) gamer at heart, but I'm up for playing just about anything.

• My non-gaming hobbies are writing, drawing, and collecting plushies and older Lego sets. (Though recent real-life and economic conditions have sadly put a hold on the latter.) I don't write for any major publication, but I do assist in writing a gaming blog run by myself and my other system-mates.

• Feel free to ask me just about anything regarding video games, I'm more than happy to yap about my opinions too much.

gamecube was the best designed controller of all time exclusively for the button cluster that gave you easy thumb roll access to all buttons but also gave you the a button as a thumb rest (because it’s the one you press the most) and took into account the frequency with which each button gets pressed in its design rather than doing the stupid diamond design that gives no button priority and rests your thumb in the shitty blank space between buttons

Also, the holes for the thumbsticks are octagon-shaped.

When you push a stick all the way to the edge, it will lock into one of these corners. This helps with stuff like walking in a perfectly straight line or steering all the way to one side, which is great for people who struggle with fine motor skills.

Like young kids, aka the target demographic for the gamecube, for example.
