Percy getting his butt handed to him is my favorite genre of PJO character development. LIKE YES LET HIM LOSE! LET HIM NEED TO BE SAVED! He won too many times in the 1st season and now I am finally feeling the pressure in his character and the image he has to live up to and how he has to earn it.

FINCH FOWLER He is the main character of a 400 page (~100k words) fanfic I wrote at age 19.

Bane Of Spring (a Percy Jackson Original Character Fanfic) "When Finch’s entire world flipped upside down, he had to discover the reality of the life he was born into—the life he was unwillingly thrusted into. A demigod’s life is full of monsters and unruly gods and kids his age who make sure to make him feel right at home. At least it was comfortable and safe—SIKE! The world is about to freeze over and it is now up to him, and his new-found friends Katie and Georgie, a fellow demigod and a nymph–satyr, to save the world from collapse, because apparently the main hero of this world had Highschool to attend to!"

I normally don't do original character introductions... never thought it felt right to give descriptions when readers could literally just... read it off the page and discover this boy I wrote in the course of 5 too long years

5 years ago I wrote a novel length fanfic and since then I've just been obsessed and also severely incapable of writing anything else... AND NOW I WANNA MOVE ON! Cuz I can't do a 6th edit, so by putting it out there, I can FINALLY begin to work on literally more stuff...

I'll keep releasing art of my characters as I release chapters on the wonderful hellhole of AO3. I might also do 1 page comics of each chapter cuz I need stuff for my portfolio <3

Is Percy ACTUALLY a skaterboy or did we just all collectively imagine it and accepted the headcanon. Everytime I think about it I keep remembering scenes or moments in the books but ngl im prolly just getting it confused with fanfic 😭

SOLANGELO MOMENT

From The Sun And The Star by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro

There are no words for how happy I was that Rick got Mark Oshiro to cowrite this book... because yall know Rick would need a queer writer to write about us queers

There is so much potential and many essays I could write about this book because of how much I felt like it captured aspects of being queer, and identities, and finding your space, and finding the people who accept you AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Disney PJO Trio if they were in Wrath of the Triple Goddess.

Ngl... I loved Chalice of the Gods because it really brought back our OG trio and finding themselves in very relatable situations (college prep) and they even still had all the edge in there with Percy thinking about his future and all that...

Now why did Rick nerf Percy in Triple Goddess? AHAHAHHAHA. It's not just that he made Percy scrawny. I loved Hecuba and Gale but my gods the fart and pee jokes kinda dulled out the tone. I think its just me realizing the gap forming as I get older. IDK. I found myself craving more seriousness or angst or wishing it followed the same tone as the previous series (or the previous book)
