Hello, hello! I know I’ve been beyond MIA on here (it turns out something’s gotta go while writing, so far, 60k words of the dissertation and prepping for a first go at the academic job market 😭😬) BUT I’m still organizing a fall Hacks Week event!

Each day will have a theme/prompt that will be broad enough for a wide variety of fan creations (fic, art, gifs, vids, meta, mood boards, etc.), and we’ll tentatively be starting the week of Halloween to give everyone who wants to participate plenty of time to prepare.

To kick the process off, I’ve created a submission form for suggestions of possible daily themes. If you have any thoughts, they are welcome here! I’ll be accepting submissions for the next week, then I’ll publicize an aggregated list of the suggestions for open voting to determine the final 7 prompts.

To given an example of a theme, I’ll personally be submitting “loose ends,” which might be thought of as a descriptor for something new or also taken up as a call for those of us with WIPs to update with a new chapter or finish that sketch. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

 been thinking about the circumstances of travis’s death in the adult timeline, and like??? why??? did lottie handle that so much differently than she did nat??? and then i realized that she handled nat’s the way that she did BECAUSE OF how things went with travis. lottie thought that she could manage whatever was happening with him with like, a pep talk and her presence on his turf and it blew up in her face. so of course she escalated that from “just me and my Healing Thoughts and Presence In Their World” to “please guys can you just go watch my friend and if she tries to kill herself, like, stop her and bring her to the commune? then i can at least make sure she doesn’t put herself in the ground like travis did”

In the midst of that amazing time in my life came the worst, and that was when my friends just started dropping dead. They were sick today and dead tomorrow. And when you would go to the hospital to look for you friend they would be out in the hallway on a gurney pushed up against a wall dying for help, dying for love, dying to be saved. And some of them with that sign on their gurney that said "do not touch".
