hello beautiful people in my computer ! i've been feeling a little sick lately and the holidays have me pretty busy so replies are on a little bit of a pause. i'll try to write them when i have time and post/queue as a go but i just wanted to put a little psa as to why things are so slow for me rn ! i'm still around lurking here and on disc !

to  sleep  in  such  a  steady  slumber,  it's  strange  to  find  himself  rising  with  the  light.  tommy  finds  himself  awake  so  often  when  it's  still  dark  out.  he  sleeps  so  soundly  at  wednesday's  side,  her  breathing,  his  breathing,  he  drifts  to  the  nightingales  crooning  their  evening  song,  and  the  owls  murmuring  their  secrets.  the  mornings  are  quieter  here.

“good  morning,  mi  luna,”  his  moon,  he  curls  an  arm  around  her  waist  when  she  slides  in  under  the  sheets,  the  bed  had  cooled  without  her  body,  and  her  form  is  welcomed  against  his,  smiling  so  content  to  be  so  effectively  pinned,  “tell  me  everything,”  every  waking  second  there  is  gratitude  in  tender  exploration  of  her  mind,  and  he  strokes  away  the  strands  of  hair  that  dare  to  fall  before  her  eyelashes,  “i  would  have  heard  you  even  in  my  sleep,”  she  was  the  pulse  of  his  dreams,  he  would  have  stirred  at  her  voice,  “you  already  finish  your  book?”  there's  a  proud,  radiant  smile,  “library'll  be  happy  to  see  us  back.”

wednesday  shifted  beneath  the  covers  just  a  little  to  face  him  ;  dark  hair  fanning  like  ink  across  her  shoulders  .  obsidian  colored  strands  released  from  their  usual  braids  in  the  safety  of  her  home  .  an  intimacy  she  shared  only  with  tommy  and  only  under  the  cover  of  rest  .  beside  her  ,  his  warmth  anchored  her  .  frenzied  thoughts  coming  together  more  collectively  as  though  he  was  the  only  one  who  could  dispel  the  fog  in  her  brain  .

"  the  book  is  done  .  "  she  admitted  ,  some  akin  to  sheepishness  hidden  deep  beneath  usual  monotone  .  it's  not  that  she  was  embarrassed  she  finished  the  book  so  quickly  .  no  ,  she  wasn't  embarrassed  at  all  .  rather  ,  taken  aback  ,  as  she  so  often  was  but  his  willingness  to  engage  with  her  ,  no  matter  the  time  .  no  matter  the  place  .  he  didn't  mind  when  she  dominated  the  conversation  ,  simply  listened  .  she  didn't  know  how  to  speak  it  ,  but  the  gratitude  was  always  there  .  like  a  candle  burning  quietly  ,  never  to  be  snuffed  out  .

heart hammers in the fragile cage of his chest , a thing as easily broke as the bone which so supposedly protected it . even in hearing her own words , the moment sees frozen in the uncertainty of what would come after ; once vulnerability had been uttered and words of devotion hung in between the like prayers to some great being . and wasn't that what love was ? the utter supplication to something so much greater than yourself .

if so , steve harrington was a willingly supplicant at the shiny booted feet of his own personal revelation , a soldier ready at a moments notice to fight in her name . love was violent , as he'd come to learn in his short time in earth . it was bleeding for those you care for , it's baring sharp teeth and fighting until all that'd left is carnage and the silence that follows . he was willing to bleed for this , had before and would again . though blood shed that evening clung to the dewed grass like ichor , thick and dark as it coagulated in the wake of its escaped owner .

" i'd rather you did it that anyone else . " morbid affection for a morbid girl ! teeth are bared in a crooked smile , all boyish charm and bloodied teeth as he looks down at the shadow before him . " don't worry though , i won't tell anyone your heart actually beats somewhere in there . "

hand stays ever willingly in the cage of her grip , fingers still gentle as ever upon the tight braid of her hair . had he ever seen her with it down ? a romantic notion quickly swept aside to ponder later when he lay unsleeping in the rosy hours of dawn . " i hadn't been able to deny it before . at least we're in it together now . between us , i don't think there's much we can't figure out . " voice drops , barely a whisper in the evening air as molten gaze traces pale features .

the  air  in  her  lungs  grew  thick  from  the  trembling  heartbeat  that  came  with  steve's  dedication  .  as  though  hearing  the  words  made  her  exhale  and  quickly  forget  how  to  inhale  again  .  confession  soaked  in  loyalty  and  emanating  boyish  reverence  .  it  hung  in  the  space  between  them  like  incense  curling  toward  a  cathedral's  vaulted  ceiling  .  something  in  her  had  officially  shifted  .  the  raven  perched  within  her  ribcage  fluttering  its  wing  for  the  first  time  .

with  her  heartbeat  ,  fragile  and  suspended  ,  wednesday  addams  felt  her  world  tilt  .

her  fingers  tightened  imperceptibly  around  his  hand  ;  pale  digits  against  blood  smeared  knuckles  .  a  beautiful  personification  of  her  ruin  to  his  restraint  .  though  her  grip  carried  no  force  ,  she  still  held  him  as  though  his  very  pulse  were  a  fragile  relic  she  had  been  entrusted  to  safeguard  .  her  head  tilted  ,  studying  him  with  a  solemn  intensity  of  a  priestess  appraising  the  worth  of  an  offered  soul  .  "  your  faith  in  me  is  alarming  .  "  she  murmured  .  voice  as  soft  as  grave  dirt  .  "  but  strangely  comforting  .  like  i  have  something  to  strive  for  .  "

wednesday  lowered  her  eyes  to  their  hands  now  intertwined  .  an  intimacy  that  felt  like  an  incantation  made  visible  .  how  terrifying  ,  she  thought  ,  how  exquisite  .  to  be  tethered  to  another  that  bled  .  the  contact  was  so  gentle  ,  so  achingly  human  that  it  made  honesty  feel  more  of  a  spell  binding  them  to  this  moment  .  to  the  boy  who  smiled  through  the  fear  in  the  name  of  devotion  .

"  we  are  bound  .  "  she  agreed  ,  a  verdict  .  her  breath  feathered  against  his  skin  ,  cool  and  reverent  .  "  do  not  mistake  this  for  weakness  .  "  her  voice  thinned  into  a  ghost  of  itself  .  a  pause  ,  a  quake  of  honesty  ,  her  darkness  unfurling  with  shy  tentative  wings  .  "  i'm  not  skilled  in  the  rituals  of  partnership  ,  but  i'm  willing  to  learn  with  you  .  for  you  .  "

for  the  first  time  her  stillness  didn't  feel  like  an  armor  ,  but  rather  surrender  .

even when weems wasn't in the direct vicinity, somehow she always seemed to know when something was amiss. better to avoid the possibility altogether.

with  the  slow  grace  of  a  funeral  procession  ,  wednesday  listened  to  each  syllable  of  vi's  declaration  .  they  coiled  through  her  mind  ,  thin  and  pale  like  something  she  could  examine  as  one  might  inspect  a  cadaver  .  the  idea  of  being  perceived  and  theorized  about  through  hidden  glances  or  unheard  voices  made  her  feel  like  she  was  the  body  on  the  rectangular  metal  .  not  an  unwelcomed  feeling  ,  though  she  wished  the  self  imposed  coroners  would  find  another  body  to  dissect  .

hers  was  already  a  hallow  thing  .

the  faintest  lift  of  her  brow  ,  more  of  a  tremor  that  shown  no  discernable  emotion  but  alteration  from  hardline  features  previous  showcased  something  akin  to  amusement  .  as  was  her  routine  ,  she  let  the  silence  sit  ,  decadent  as  a  bruise  ripening  beneath  skin  .  what  settled  between  them  was  unspoken  requiem  that  could  smother  those  who  didn't  share  a  kinship  with  the  two  shrouded  in  black  .

ivy  draped  institution  where  arches  brood  and  stairwells  hum  with  half  forgotten  rumors  is  where  wednesday  addams  arrives  for  the  fall  semester  .  not  searching  for  camaraderie  or  collegiate  cheer  but  a  mystery  older  than  the  school's  crumbling  gargoyles  .  founded  by  eccentric  philanthropist  ,  the  university  that  doesn't  follow  traditional  academic  format  has  long  been  haunted  by  a  sequence  of  unsolved  vanishings  .  brilliant  students  who  all  came  to  curate  their  own  majors  ,  inventing  entirely  new  areas  of  studies  .  the  brightest  minds  being  plucked  up  one  by  one  .  students  whisper  of  coded  journals  ,  abandoned  observatories  ,  and  a  secret  society  that  met  once  beneath  the  bell  tower  .  and  never  emerged  . administration  dismisses  it  as  myth  .  naturally  ,  wednesday  is  enthralled  .  her  investigation  becomes  tangled  with  a  small  cadre  of  equally  strange  classmates  .  the  case  becoming  more  dangerous  when  new  disappearances  began  mimicking  the  original  pattern  .

IN  SUMMARY  :  it's  that  time  of  the  year  where  i  feign  for  dark  academia  and  i'd  really  love  to  explore  it  for  wednesday  in  a  university  setting  !  heavily  inspired  by  books  like  the  truly  devious  series  and  catherine  house  ,  the  university  isn't  traditional  but  rather  a  privately  funded  for  students  with  exceptional  and  eccentric  minds  .  they  create  their  own  areas  of  study  and  use  the  never  ending  resources  from  the  school  to  fund  it  .  wednesday  comes  to  the  school  because  of  the  string  of  unsolved  disappearances  she  wants  to  solve  and  when  the  disappearances  pick  up  again  .  .  .  DUN  DUN  DUN  y'know  ?  verse  very  much  open  to  any  and  all  mutuals  please  please  please  please  please  (  please  )  write  a  dark  academia  ting  with  me  !  v  much  open  to  plotting  fr  so  don't  take  any  of  this  as  law  !  if  interested  just  give  this  a  like  or  a  reply  and  i'll  reach  out  !  or  just  message  ,  any  and  all  is  fine  !

The vampire says with a brush of sharp nails against the few strands of hair that still rest against her shoulder. "Or well, a friend of mine. Not exactly me." Rachelle had been taking a smoke break in her van. "And sorry, I'm raising a bunch of messy eaters." The vampire laughs humorlessly, kneeling down to crawl up to the corpse to dig through pockets, before tilting the head back. "What are you doing here?"

the  vampire's  admission  didn't  falter  the  raven's  disposition  .  nor  did  the  casual  desecration  unfolding  at  her  feet  .  instead  ,  she  regarded  rachelle  with  the  placid  ,  unblinking  calm  of  a  bird  perched  upon  a  headstone  .  unbothered  but  faintly  intrigued  .  "  messy  eaters  is  an  understatement  .  "  her  tone  dry  as  the  breeze  in  the  cold  night  .  she  stepped  closer  .  the  corpse's  dull  ,  empty  gaze  reflected  faintly  in  her  own  as  though  she  would  looking  into  a  mirror  .  "  though  ,  i  imagine  undeath  comes  with  its  own  share  of  housekeeping  complications  .  "  amusement  briefly  flickered  on  pale  features  .  her  gaze  drifted  to  the  blood  smeared  earth  as  though  admiring  an  abstract  painting  before  remembering  ,  she  was  asked  a  question  :

'  what  are  you  doing  here  ?  '

"  playing  geoguesser  with  my  visions  ,  i  suppose  .  "  she  replied  .  "  i  saw  him  ,  whimpering  .  weak  .  bleeding  out  .  but  my  visions  don't  work  like  a  video  ,  i  can't  zoom  in  or  zoom  out  .  so  i  was  going  off  of  very  limited  information  .  "  voice  irritated  ,  not  with  the  man  who  visited  her  in  a  stint  of  prophecy  but  rather  with  the  glimpse  of  the  future  itself  for  not  being  more  specific  .  "  i  tried  to  sop  the  bleeding  .  "  she  lowered  herself  into  a  quiet  crouch  beside  rachelle  .  "  your  guy  got  him  a  little  too  good  .  "

in  a  shadow  drenched  corridor  of  some  dim  and  forgotten  manor  ,  wednesday  regarded  vi's  statement  with  her  signature  sterile  stare  .  the  outcome  might  not  have  been  what  vi  suspected  wednesday  promised  ,  but  she  was  something  of  a  wordsmith  .  she  may  have  said  that  .  or  at  the  very  least  ,  a  version  of  it  .  "  never  said  i'd  lay  low  .  "  wednesday  clarified  .  her  wide  eyes  looking  over  the  toppled  candelabrum  on  the  floor  ,  still  bleeding  wax  like  melted  bone  .  "  i  said  i'd  stay  low  .  like  to  the  ground  .  "  she  offered  clunky  clarity  .  caught  in  a  loop  hole  but  ever  full  of  hubris  ,  she  wouldn't  back  down  .

"  which  wasn't  a  difficult  task  considering  my  height  deficiency  .  "

IN  SUMMARY  :  it's  that  time  of  the  year  where  i  feign  for  dark  academia  and  i'd  really  love  to  explore  it  for  wednesday  in  a  university  setting  !  heavily  inspired  by  books  like  the  truly  devious  series  and  catherine  house  ,  the  university  isn't  traditional  but  rather  a  privately  funded  for  students  with  exceptional  and  eccentric  minds  .  they  create  their  own  areas  of  study  and  use  the  never  ending  resources  from  the  school  to  fund  it  .  wednesday  comes  to  the  school  because  of  the  string  of  unsolved  disappearances  she  wants  to  solve  and  when  the  disappearances  pick  up  again  .  .  .  DUN  DUN  DUN  y'know  ?  verse  very  much  open  to  any  and  all  mutuals  please  please  please  please  please  (  please  )  write  a  dark  academia  ting  with  me  !  v  much  open  to  plotting  fr  so  don't  take  any  of  this  as  law  !  if  interested  just  give  this  a  like  or  a  reply  and  i'll  reach  out  !  or  just  message  ,  any  and  all  is  fine  !

    Larissa closes her eyes. She hasn't had to work on her temper in years, not since she first taught at Nevermore, but since Wednesday Addams has come into her life, she finds herself reverting to old habits: count to ten, breathe in, breathe out...

    "I see you still haven't learnt the value of cooperation, Miss Addams," she says, and does not turn toward her. Instead, she lifts her coffee to her lips and allows herself to enjoy it, just as though there were no prickly thornbush nearby, currently wrapping a stinging tendril around her peace and quiet.

wednesday  absorbed  her  former  principal's  quip  the  way  a  mausoleum  absorbed  moonlight  :  silently  and  without  any  promise  of  reflection  .  the  faintest  twitch  touches  the  corner  of  her  mouth  .  never  quite  a  smile  ,  but  the  demented  relative  of  one  .  her  posture  remained  statuesque  ,  rigid  as  an  iron  gargoyle  perched  in  the  walkway  of  the  addams  estate  .

always  watching  ,  always  listening  .

obsidian  pools  stay  locked  on  weems  ;  lingering  ,  not  in  respect  nor  apology  ,  but  with  idle  curiosity  .  it  couldn't  be  good  news  if  she  was  back  around  ,  and  wednesday  loved  to  be  the  receiver  (  and  the  bearer  )  of  bad  news  .  "  cooperation  is  a  virtue  left  unrewarded  .  "  she  paused  ,  brows  lifting  a  fraction  .  "  wasn't  cooperation  what  left  a  student  dead  and  you  out  of  a  job  ?  or  do  you  take  credit  for  that  all  on  your  lonesome ? "
