* falls in from the ceiling* " sorry for dropping in one ya.."
Frisk jumped a squeaked a bit in surprise, was that… another Sans? The human approached the other cautiously, taking in the massive crack in his skull and their different choice of clothing. No, this couldn’t be the Sans they knew so well, so who was this stranger that happened to fall from the sky?
“U-um, are you alright, sir?”
“ I’m fine.. Just didn’t have a safe landing… I’m lithos .. Or known by sanses as mirrored sans! You must be frisk correct…?” He stated with a large smile
“Y-yes... I am. Nice to meet you Mr. Lithos.” Frisk held their little hand out to help the skeleton up, their head tilted in curiosity.
“Did you say ‘Sanses’, as in plural? Are there more of him and like you?”
🌼 “ s t i c k i n g t o g e t h e r “
Their little eyes widened at the latter’s words, lip quivering as tears welled up. However the human tried their best to swallow them back down. Frisk wouldn’t allow themselves to cry in front of Chara, that only lead to more torment and teasing.
“But… I don’t want to die. I just want to go home. I miss my mommy and my daddy… Why can’t you see that?”
What was this “more” that the transcendent being was going on about. Frisk was still just a child. More than anything, they just wanted comfort and security. They knew all too well they weren’t going to get any out here. In fact, Frisk was sure they would probably die out here, their body hidden and sealed away by snow.
If you don’t want to die, you have to get stronger. You have two forces pushing against you, trying to crush you. Your body, your life, is a battlefield now.
Honestly I’m not sure talking to you is even worth it. I might just do your chara a favor and kill you. It would certainly weaken your resolve. I really haven’t made up my mind as to what I want to do in this timeline.
Perhaps if you gave me a reason, I could be persuaded to aid you in your battle.
@childisms
Frisk too a few steps back as the latter brandished the knife, although it was seemingly fruitless. The duo were intertwined, whether it be by pure essence or the energy of their souls. Frisk couldn’t get away from Chara no matter how much they wanted, they were a sitting duck.
At the other’s proposition, the human tried to pull on a brave face, despite the tears that threatened to spill from their tiny eyes.
“Y-you’re not going to kill me... and I’m not afraid of you. How can you help me?”
🌼 “ b r i l l i a n t f l a m e s ”
Their little mouth formed an “o”, their head titling in interest at the news. Frisk never knew Grillby had a daughter. Then again, the fiery bartended typically wasn’t one to disclose his personal life, or really talk all that much. Frisk watched Fuku as she mixed about the drink and boiled it with her flaming fingers in awe.
“Wow, I didn’t now Mr. Grillby had a daughter. Or really any family.” The human scowled a bit at how silly that sounded. Of course everyone had some kind of family. Quietly, they brought the mug to their lips and sipped, sighing in content at the warm cocoa warming their insides. It was neither too hot nor too cold.

“Frisk, sweetie. I can talk to their parents about this. I will not tell Lady Toriel about it but this is serious if they keep throwing your hats in the tress. What if they start taking your coat? You’ll freeze out there.” Sighing he moved his hand to brush back the flames on the top of his head. Not liking teh fact that she was being picked on, he would have to make sure to have someone keep an eye on her to make sure that this wouldn’t happen, or to at least tell him who those kids were.
“What’s wrong sweetie? Would you like me to help you get your hats back down?”
“N-no... that’s okay, Mr. Grillby...” Their voice was a lot softer this time, their head still downcast to the wooden surface. A little hand clutched the glass of milk silently. Great, the last thing Frisk wanted was to upset the elemental. That wasn’t at all what they had come here to do. In hopes to assuage the latter’s mood about the whole situation, Frisk offered a tiny smile in reassurance.
“I... I need a job. Here, preferably... I’m thinking that if I make money, I can give it to my classmates so they wont throw my hats in trees anymore...” As they spoke, the human realized just how silly their proposition might be. That little smile slipped from their face and they scowled down at their drinks.
SEMI-HIATUS
// Heyo! I just wanted to let you all know that for Mother’s Day weekend, I’ll be heading over to see my grandparents! With that said, their house doesn’t have the best internet connection, or the amount of privacy needed for me to write.
So with that said, I’m putting this blog on a small semi-hiatus! I’ll be replying to certain threads and be on here to chat whenever I can. I’ll also be on Skype if you’d like to message me on there. Just IM me and I’ll give you my username.
Until then, I’ll see y’all around!

Shivering and rubbing their hands from the frigid weather of outside, Frisk entered the bustling bar. Immediately upon arrival, they were greeted with a cacophony of cheerful greetings. The human waved happily to the lot, even going to scratch a few pooches behind the ear before marching to the front of the pub where the elemental bartender worked.
When they reached the bar, they gave Grillby the biggest of smiles. The child had always enjoyed the latter’s company, every time Sans brought them here they always left with full bellies and good spirits. As silent as Grillby may be, he always had that effect on people. He made people happy, with his crackling, warm existence.
They couldn’t quite reach the bar just yet, so it was quite the feat to pull themselves up onto one of the leather stools. When they finally did so they made a noise in triumph, then dug into the pockets of their purple puffy coat.
“Hi, Mr. Grillby!” Frisk beamed as they dropped a few gold coins onto the bar. “One glass of strawberry milk, please!”
“Cold little one?” He chuckled as he only took some of the coins on the table. Coming back with a strawberry milk, as well as a cup of hot chocolate, he gave them both the milk and the warm drink for half the price.
Ruffling their hair, he sighed. “You need to wear a hat, you’ll catch your death of cold here.” He said as he pulled his hand back.
Frisk’s little eyes shone at the two tall drinks, their nose still a bit rosy as they eyed the steam dancing from the hot cocoa. It was true, although many of the people of the Underground seemed perfectly content with the blistering cold of Snowdin town, the human never seemed to be able to get used to it.
They settled for the mug of coca first, wrapping their little hands along the ceramic mug in an attempt to warm them. Feeling was already coming back into their fingers, and they sighed in content.
“I know. Mom keeps telling me that every day. But I don’t like wearing a hat. Some of the other kids take it and throw it into trees sometimes. I think a few of mine are still up there somewhere.” Frisk grumbled a bit, braving a sip from the mug, however deciding it was too hot last minute, then going for the chilled glass of milk.
Hearing a few loud cracks of his flames, he did not like that little bit of information whatsoever. While he seemed calm the way his flames became a little brighter clearly meant that he was upset. Taking a few moments to calm down some he sighed. “Frisk…..Are the other children bullying you?….. Would you like me to speak to their parents to make them stop?” He asked as the thought of someone hurting, yet alone being so rude to the girl would make his blood boil, well if he had any it would.
“No!” The child exclaimed a little too quickly and loudly, immediately clapping their hands over their mouth. Cheeks flushed as patrons of the bar looked their way with peculiar looks, and they quickly looked down to avoid the unwanted stares.
Once the other customers had gotten bored and went back to their own meals and conversation, Frisk peeked back up, a sheepish smile on their face.
“Um, no. It’s not really anything like that. They just like to mess around, y’know? Please don’t tell mom.” The last thing Frisk wanted was for their mother to complain to their classmates’ parents. The only thing that would come from that was more teasing and torment.
“B-but, I didn’t just come here for some milk... I wanted to ask you about something... something kinda important.”

It had been one of those days when a nine-year-old just needed a break. The mountainous homework load, followed by the incessant teasing of other classmates, needless to say Frisk was exhausted from the day. Nothing sounded better than a nice mug of warm cocoa from Grillby’s to beat the chill of the outside. So promptly after school, the human held onto the money given from their mother for lunch, and headed down to the pub.
The crowd was a bit sparse considering the time of day, only a few stragglers nursing their own rough days with a burger and fry. Frisk scratched a few dogs behind the ear, before seating themselves at the front of the bar, which was strangely unoccupied by the elemental bartender.
Instead, from the back emerged a monster of green flames, sporting Grillby’s apron over their school uniform. Frisk’s eye brows shot up in interest. They remembered encountering them in the Hotlands, were they now working here? Were they somehow related to Grillby?
“U-um, hello there, miss?”
“Oh hi there,” she said with a warm smile, “What can I get for you?” Her father had told her about the little human, but she’d never really spoken to them. They were supposedly a nice ,quiet child. She wished that she had time to change into her work uniform, her school one always felt weird when she wore the apron over it.
Frisk sheepishly offered some gold coins, up close the latter was even more pretty to look at. Their flame was the greenest of colors, a small wisp of yellow flickering in the middle. Like with Grillby, they wondered if they were also hot the touch.
“One hot cocoa, please. Do you happen to be Mr. Grillby’s sister?”
nightmare starters
“Wake up! Wake up! It’s just a dream!” “What were you dreaming about…? You were shouting…” “I woke up because you were screaming so loudly.” “Shh– No, no, don’t panic, love. You’re safe now.” “It was so real! I swear! He/she was here!” “I don’t ever want to sleep again. What if– what if I dream about that again?” “If you tell me, it’ll go away. That’s what my mum/dad always told me and it’s never failed me.” “Do you want to go back to sleep, or shall I make you a cup of tea?” “I don’t want to go back to sleep…” “I’m so scared… I can’t stop seeing what I just saw. It was so vivid!” “There’s really nobody here, okay? Do you need me to show you around to prove that to you?” “How do I know I’m not still dreaming? You’re acting really strangely.” “Let’s get you to the shower, you’re covered in sweat.” “There’s really nobody else here.” “You’ve got a really bad fever. That must have caused those weird dreams.” “I don’t even know what a peaceful night’s sleep is like anymore.” “I can’t do this anymore. These nightmares have to stop…” “Shh, it was just a bad dream. Just a dream, okay? None of it was real.” “I can’t go back to sleep after that. I need coffee– no, I need a drink, a stiff one.” “How long have you been having these nightmares?” “I’ve had nightmares all my life, but they’ve been really bad recently.” “You get so worked up before you go to sleep, maybe you should try to relax a bit more. Maybe then you’ll get some rest?” “I’d kill for a peaceful night’s sleep.” “A dream catcher? Honestly? I’m not a child.” “Nothing’s ever helped this. I just need to learn to live with the fact that sleeping will always be a nightmare, literally.” “I’m so tired… but there’s no way I’m going back to sleep after that.”

Frisk was exhausted. The invisible strings pulling at their body were relentless, forcing the child’s feet forward one after the other. Left, right, left, right, and left again. It was a succession through the snow that was close to bringing the human to insanity. They didn’t understand why. Why them? Why was their body an empty shell for others to take as a host? Why couldn’t their body just be theirs. Those questions clouded the troubled brunette’s mind, sending them falling forward and onto their knees, not aware of the thin sheet of sleet they had foolishly slipped on.
Knees lightly scraped, cold, and the slightest bit hungry, Frisk began to whimper. They would give anything to be back in the warmth of their home, curled up in a blanket by the fireplace, leaving the winter to do its bidding outside while they stayed safe inside.
“C-chara…” The human sniffled pitifully. They knew they would get yelled at for being such a crybaby. But at this point, Frisk could hardly care. All they wanted was to go home. Not be out in God knows where, only because of the stubborn demands of the latter. “I wanna go home…”
(Vulnerability. Every Frisk they saw had it. Whether it led them to good or to ill depended on the timeline and whoever guided them. This universe seemed only slightly touched by other forces…which meant that vulnerability could be easily taken advantage of)
(Jumping into a new universe once more, they stood in front of Frisk, blocking their steps)
Home? What does home offer you? If all you are going to do is complain and cry, your fate will be the same as my own Frisk.
Perhaps that is what you want, truly. It would be easier, I can’t say I haven’t sometimes wished for death. But somehow, I feel like you want something more.
