as i slowly try to get over my arachnophobia i must confess i always thought it was silly when people told me "don't worry, they're more scared of you than you are of them!" like okay first of all i'm not even sure if thats true, most house spiders seem like they're kinda minding their own business while i am demonstrably freaking out. second of all if it IS true then it doesnt even change how scared i am. like great now we're both scared. i'm scared, the spiders scared, everythings fucked. lets just burn the house down hand in unlovable hand (and hand and hand and hand and hand and hand and hand and hand.)
Actually more helpful to arachnophobia is the fact that spiders hate the feel of human skin. They think you're really really gross
^This. Like the tags said it is veeeery hard to get a spider on your hand they just hate touching you so much. Despite the fact that I'm not even a little bit scared or grossed out by bugs I still have to let spiders outside by the paper-and-cup method because trying to get one on your skin is just impossible.
no seriously i’ve SEEN them freak out and go “eEEWWWW I TOUCHED IITTT” and they shake off their feet like cats it’s so funny 😭

When I walked into the theater today, I was genuinely surprised by how many kids had filled the sold out show! There were more 10 to 14 year olds than anything, all of them covered in TADC merch and big grins. And all I could think was "Oh no, is this gonna be like the Minecraft movie? Why are there so many tiny people here for the psychological horror cartoon??"
Then I remembered I was a child of the 80s and if I endured everything from Dark Crystal to Secret of NIMH, they'd be just fine. And let me tell you what, those kids were beyond respectful and quiet through the film! They laughed and cheered at parts, and when it was over, they all applauded and screamed with such happiness. They were jumping up and down, celebrating the show with such joy that I still can't help but grin when thinking about it.
The Last Act will be torn apart by endless critics. Many will storm out of their theaters rife with opinions. But seeing the sheer amount of people, and a surprising amount of kids, all smiling bright and happy as the credits faded? Hearing everyone talking about the show positively as they filed out? Seeing another stream of excited people and kids heading in for the next showing, covered in merch and near skipping to their seats?
I'm just so happy Last Act made it to theaters, because despite what the internet would have you believe, it's bringing a lot of joy to endless people this weekend. And that speaks louder to me than any critics can.
You know I will actually
Happy pride you filthy animals
