Deadpool is NOT a Hufflepuff!
Just a rant from your friendly* neighborhood generalist nerd.
At some point, you may have seen this fuckery…
This ^^^ is bullshit.
While Deadpool has SOME of these qualities, you certainly can’t deny, he has more, if not all, of the traits of another house.
But chimichangasanddoorknobs, what about this?
It’s cannon! How can you make this claim?
Well, that’s easy random-made-up-individual-who-has-no-ability-to-understand-beyond-what-you-can-see, anyone can buy any robes and wear them, but putting a dress on a pig doesn’t make it a beauty queen.

This is a very good point but @jordandwhiteqna himself has already said this – Deadpool wants to be a Hufflepuff, but is probably more likely a Slytherin.
Great post and all but it’s already canon.
I think there are two major things to consider here.
First off, we’re not talking about what would happen if Wade were magically de-aged, turned British, put into the world of the Potter books, and properly sorted by the hat. We’re talking about what fully grown Wade Wilson who is a fan of reading the Harry Potter novels self-identifies as. And I think there is a clear pattern in the comics of Wade wanting to be better than he is, and thinking of himself as more heroic than he actually is.
Second of all, even if we WERE talking about a proper Sorting Hat sorting, let’s not forget that the Hat takes your feelings and desires into account. If Wade was like “NOT SLYTHERIN” like Harry was, then he very well might have not been sorted into Slytherin. I also think someone could make a good argument for him being Brave/Foolhardy enough to be a Gryffindor. The only one he DEFINITELY isn’t is Ravenclaw.
We can all want to be whatever we want, but that doesn’t always make it true. It would be really cool if Wade were a genuine Hufflepuff….but he’s clearly not. If you take the Pottermore sorting hat test to have probably the most accurate sorting, you’ll see while if you are split between two houses you can pick your favored one. The caveat being that you get to pick from ONE other house. I’m not sure that his next closest house would be Hufflepuff (though it is definitely possible), but if it weren’t and he didn’t pick Slytherin, that still wouldn’t make him a Hufflepuff. Point being of course, you have say in the decision, but you don’t actually pick your house.
Also, I’d like to challenge your opinion that Deadpool “DEFINITELY isn’t” Ravenclaw. Whatever way you cut it, Wade is a tactical genius. He’s not known for his book smarts, but several people, in canon, have noted his ability to strategize and execute immaculately his plans. But if you notice, a lot of Slytherin qualities run parallel to those of Ravenclaw, the main difference being Machiavellian ideals and ambition that overshadows intelligence. And let’s not forget that good ol’ “I-Don’t-Give-A-Fuck” attitude.
For the record, I’m not trying to be sassy and I hope it doesn’t come across that way, I’m just defending my point. The most important thing to remember, in my opinion, is that Wade would be ridiculously hard to place as his personality changes so much due to his intermittent memory and the changes in writing style, as I’m sure you know. If we were getting really into it, Wade probably wouldn’t be allowed within 1,000 feet of Hogwarts for his own and the students’ safety, BUT, he mostly fits most of the qualities of Slytherin, most of the time. Hence the ridiculously long rant-y post.
