heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey my debut space opera novel is available on kindle unlimited and paperback now! check it out!!!!
Kalaiapi’s job as a post-human space privateer is hard enough. But when the data drive connected to her brain malfunctions, Kalaiapi suddenly finds herself the potential source of exactly the kind of extinction event she is tasked with preventing.
As the Universe, Predatory Omnia, wages a perpetual war of extinction against the progenasi species, Corsairs are the elite, gene-hacked agents tasked with taking the battle to the enemy; Kalaiapi has 600 years of experience doing just that.
But when the data drive spliced into Kalaiapi’s consciousness goes haywire, Kalaiapi fears she may have inadvertently become the source of exactly the kind of species-ending cosmic phenomenon she has spent her whole life trying to stop.
Driven to the edge of the known galaxy while wrestling with a sentience inextricably connected to her own, Kalaiapi discovers a mysterious colony of enslaved bio-automatons and must battle to protect fragile lives from a malevolent planet, warring galactic imperia – and even entropy itself. Against the cold abyss of malevolent nature, what chance does one Corsair have?
Geese by Kyriak Kostandi, 1913
The story of one person's battle against a malevolent planet, warring galactic imperia, and entropy itself to protect a fragile life.
I'm publishing a book! I'm self publishing a book! For the last nine years, I've been working on the first book in a space opera series and I am very excited to say I am almost done and will be putting it out by the end of September. If you are a sci-fi lover and like grim but optimistic, sophisticated, occasionally gory post-human adult-level novels that cover topics like consciousness, AI, space snails, and what it means to be human, please sign up for my mailing list and I'll send you updates! Plus the cover art is a stunning original piece by a hometown artist!

Do you know anything about migrations to the Black Sea region in turkey between the 1800's and the very early 1900's? My great grandmother had told my mother that they migrated from the caucus area, but we don't know where. My family ranges from snow white to peach colored btw. Thanks in advance.
just venturing a guess, but you're probably looking at circassian/adyghe and other North Caucasus victims of Russian conquest and genocide in the region around the period you're asking about. circassians are stereotyped in turkey and the Levant as being blond and beautiful people. whether or not that's true, they're a lot fairer skinned/haired than most other black sea region residents.

Spectacular blue and turquoise tiles make up the magnificent Shah-i-Zinda, or Way of Kings, in Samarkand, Uzbekstan. The Shah-i-Zinda is a complex of mausoleums where many of Amir Timur’s close relatives are entombed, and it is one of Central Asia’s most beautiful sites.
