In an post-apocalyptic future, a group of mostly alive survivors tries their best to stay alive in Normandy, France.
Less than five years ago, a new form of life appeared and started killing most living creature, causing an apocalypse. After death, the black form seemed to devour the corpses too add them to their never ending mass.
Survivors organized themselves in groups, from group of friends to small village like organization. Bunny, Hope, Alex, Joël, Raphaëlle and Rufus came together by chance, and are focused on gathering more information about what happenned to the world, as well as orienting survivors toward safe zones.
🐰 Bunny - He/They 🐰
Originally from the south of England, he dangerously crossed to France after receiving a radio signal from the other side. They lost their partner, Hope, before crossing.
After rejoigning with Hope in her ghost form, he's now stuck between mourning and longing. They're quiet but quite smart as well.
👻 Hope - She/Her 👻
From the same region as Bunny, they survived together for a few months before she tragically died. Her attachement to her partner, coupled with her resilience and upbeat view on life allowed her to literally haunt the narrative as a ghost.
She wishes the best for her partner and new friends, as she can see herself getting more and more corrupted each day by the creature that killed her.
🧪 Alex - He/Him 🧪
He managed to stay alive thanks to his twin, Joël, causing the loss of his arm, which he feels very guilty for. It mades me determined to understand (and reverse ?) the apocalypse, at the price sometime of his own health.
He's very focused on his research, and made the discovery that people with a strong enough will may stay after death in the of ghost like figures. He modified sole glass and made glasses or masks so that people can see them.
🔫 Joël - He/Him 🔫
Joël lost his arm early in the apocalypse while protecting his twin, Alex. Despite that, he's quite good with weapons and also very smart with planing and direction, making him a good group leader.
He's terrified that Alex's research might be what leads to his death. Despite his position as a core member of the group, he would kill himself and the rest of the world if it means that his brother might survive.
🔪 Raph "Raphaëlle" - She/Her 🔪
Initially alone in the apocalypse, she quickly stubbled upon Rufus, who she knew previously. She's very athletic but very girly at the same time. She's a outstanding scout, thanks to her speed and small stature.
She's terrified of the situation at hand, and is mostly pushing on with the hope that one day thing might be better. She often confine in Hope and vice-versa, and she wishes that her friend could pass on with the knowledge that things are looking up
🩹 Rufus - He/Him 🩹
He was studying medecine before everything went down, and quickly put his skills to use. He may look intimidating but his truly sweet, a mother hen at heart (that is still very good at punching thinks with a broken pipe).
He comes from a big family and is desperately searching for his siblings, in vain. Deep down, he knows that the chance of them being alive is slim, and he has imprited on Raph, the youngest in the group, as a little sister like figure.
🐱 Mandarine and Ariel 🐱
In one of her scouting expedition, Raph found a mysterious cat that seemed infected (but alive ?). They named her Mandarine, using her collar, and it's Alex's study of her black marking that led to the ghost discovery.
Ariel, her suposed name, probably stayed as a ghost by attaching herself to her cat. She can't talk, but Mandarine as taken to following the group, so does she.
