Elliott headcanon

- My headcanon is that Elliott, as a young man... maybe around 18 (since I assume he's around 30 now), was still a mama's boy and lived with his parents. Although his family was posh, wealthy, and totally strict (that must have been one of the reasons he ran away from home).

Anyway, being from such a high-society family, Elliott had many restrictions and rules to follow, most of which annoyed him, but hey, otherwise, where would we get the stuffy poet of today? So... after much arguing, pleading, and far too many chores... his parents let him have long hair. Hmm... because I can imagine they would have preferred a son with short, neatly tied-back hair.

But here's another headcanon: Elliott, at that young age, went through a slight... rebellious phase; during which he also secretly got an earring, haha, which meant he straightened his natural, wavy hair. And I don't think his parents were too excited about it. Anyway, from the beginning, they knew they had a rather odd son.

Elliott is an only child, so you can bet they were twice as strict with him. They didn't see affection, they saw money.
