The War Is Almost Over… but Our Struggle to Rebuild Has Just Begun.
Every day here in Gaza feels like a year carved into our chests. The war isn’t like it was in the early days—the sky is quieter, the air carries less smoke, and the nights hold fewer explosions. But the pain… it still lives under the rubble, inside our memories, and in the empty spaces where our loved ones once stood.
I’m writing this today not because the war has completely ended, but because for the first time in a long while, it feels like the horizon is opening a little. A small space where we can breathe, gather ourselves, and try to rebuild what’s left of our lives.
Yet every step forward feels like walking on wounded memories, and every stone from our destroyed home whispers stories we never got to finish.
We lived through nights so heavy we thought morning would never come. We lost things that can never be replaced—homes, dreams, pieces of our hearts.
But we are still here… holding on, trying, fighting to stay standing despite everything.
And in the middle of this long road… there is a house. A house that once carried laughter, warmth, noise, and life.
Today, all that remains is an image holding a memory—and rubble longing for the people who once lived inside.
Today, we are trying to rebuild—not just the walls of a house, but an entire life that was shattered.
We are trying to create a new beginning, to live with dignity again, to give our family a sense of safety that we’ve been missing for so long.
We’re not writing this to mourn what was lost, but to ask for a chance to start again.
We ask for your support because rebuilding after a war is not something one person can do alone—it is a human effort, a shared act of compassion.

We all know about the Twitter immigrants, but there seems to be radio silence on what's happening now with Reddit users from certain subreddits doing a similar thing.
What's happening?
Reddit is restricting their API later this month and killing off third-party apps. An AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the CEO Steve Hoffman was held and it was clear that he would continue with the changes.
In protest, thousands of subreddits across the site are planning to go dark for 48 hours on June 12th. Some are planning to continue indefinitely until the changes are reversed.
Okay, so how does this affect Tumblr?
Some subreddits (mainly queer and left-leaning meme ones, don't worry too much about Reddit Atheists™ overrunning us) are encouraging their users to jump ship to our beloved - and beloathed - hellsite. There will be another influx of new users and many will be unfamiliar with how the site works.
What do us Tumblr users do?
Show them how to use the site; introduce them to the site's culture, tell them to reblog shit and curate their dashboard. Sorta like how we welcomed Twitter users back when they flocked here. Kungpowpenising optional.
I'm new from Reddit, what do I do here?
CHANGE YOUR PROFILE PICTURE AND BANNER TO SOMETHING OTHER THAN DEFAULT BECAUSE THIS SITE IS FILLED WITH BOTS AND YOU MIGHT BE MISTAKEN FOR ONE. This is the FIRST thing you should do after getting a blog.
Other folks can help you with stuff like curating your dashboard or creating sideblogs (or you can look shit up) but please, PLEASE just give yourself an icon and reblog some stuff so people don't mistake you for a bot
This is one of the first posts I've seen after trying to look at Tumblr again, so I've decided to head their advice and reblog this. I don't even know what a reblog is but I'll find out in time. It's a learning process
I’ve used this technique for about a year, and I can safely say that it has efficiently transformed my sleeping habits from several hours of struggle to fall asleep, to passing out in a matter of minutes.
It’s a form of Alexander Technique. It’s a technique that was designed for actors to keep their body in ready working condition and give it the best way to perform. This is the method used to calm, and center the body. Once the body is at that point it can perform anything you want it to.
Reblogging for later reference after I tried it earlier today to try to calm down. It actually does help a lot, not just for sleep but if you have problems with anxiety.
My default mental setting is “vibrating intensely in the background.” After doing this, I felt noticeably calm and relaxed - I wasn’t as fixated on my breathing, I wasn’t tense, my movements weren’t jerky and I didn’t feel like I had to be as tense as possible to be under control. 10/10 would recommend.
Analysis of Vampire Knight Part 1: The Original Chapters
When Vampire Knight Memories was first announced, a fellow fan sent me an ask hoping to pick my thoughts on the original series as well as the new chapters. It’s taken me a long time to put it all together (sorry, dear!) and the post became more than I think she was originally looking for - hell, it became more than even I had intended - but I hope it can provide some clarity and comfort just the same.
I’ve decided to split this post up into sections, so this one actually only covers the original series and I have a follow up planned for Vampire Knight Memories as well as some follow up posts to elaborate on some things I didn’t find room to include. (If there’s something specific you’d like to know more about, feel free to send me an ask! I’m slow but I promise I’ll get to it). Due to the length of the post, I’ve hidden it behind the cut.

And what I think many people misunderstand about Yuuki’s character in the end is that she never gets truly angry with Kaname because she also considers him a victim of her very existence. She literally thinks that if she had never been born, none of this would have happened, and instead of getting angry at Kaname for indirectly pinning the blame on her, she accepts that responsibility and pities him for his despair because she thinks she helped drive him over the edge.
God you’re brilliant. Freaking manga left me exhausted and frustrated and one post from you makes me want to read it again. How could I have overlooked Kaien’s roll in all of this? You are truly brilliant, Jess. Thanks for this. Off to read part two.

I have so many feelings!!!! I hated that Shotaro kissed Kyoko but I loved she sent him packing. What does it all mean? I’m glad she told him to leave her alone but is that objectively a good thing?
God I HATE Saena; that b*tch is really heartless and poor Kyoko just found out things were worse than she had thought them to be. Thank God Ren got to her (how did he find her? Is that park near her place or what?) I can’t wait to read next chapter

This chappie was just so cute! I swear I could feel Kyoko's nerves in my tummy and Ren was nervious aswell. Those words he greeted her with were so sweet and his expression, sigh. God, I like him so much better with dark hair! I am very afraid of Ren disappearing to make room for Kuon. I don't want to! I love my brunete Ren over blond Kuon, don't take him away from me!!! I did not get those last few words. Can somebody please explain what that request to Rick meant?
And he was oh, so happy to have been born as Kuon *.* I wonder what it all means...? how is she gonna react once she finds out the truth? This manga is totally killing me!
So happy Ren has come all this way but there is still the whole confusion about how she feels about him. Let's clear that up shall we Nakamura sensei?
Sooooo, help me out here, folks cuz' I'm confused. I mean, I get the gist of it, Ren finally came to terms with his past because of Kyoko's words and the briefest lightest kiss in the history of kisses (but kiss none the less). The thing I don't get is, if Kyoko was acting, does that mean she doesn't believe what she said? and if she does believe, was she referring to Ren or Corn when she said that all that had happened got her to meet "that person"?
I hope she feels that way for real. That she sees all the hurt and heartache she went through as a way of meeting Ren. That would show how far she has come and it would make me incredibly happy to see her grow the way Ren has.
Also, if Ren is finally at peace with Kuon, what does that mean in terms of his persona? is he gonna ditch Ren and become Kuon full time? I don't know why but I like Ren better, I don't want to see him dissapear and I don't want to call him Kuon!
Point blank, no other place. Damn, Ren! you're really pushing it, aren't you?
I really don't understand what is happening in this Guam arch. I want to trust Nakamura sensei but I'm finding it hard. Not even Ren knows why he's acting the way he's acting and I'm worried because I don't want to end up hating Ren but he's truly being a prick to Kyoko and when she finds out the truth all is going to turn into a hot mess.
