Do you think Ayato and the Traveler are close? Or does Ayato just keep up a facade for Ayaka's and Thoma's sake, as well as because of the Traveler's position as someone powerful and influential, not to mention being friends with his Archon?

I wouldnt call them close. They arent friends friends, but Ayato isnt exactly putting up a facade, exactly. I’d say that their relationship is built on mutual benefit and respect, rather than companionship.

Ayato highly respects the Traveler, and understands the Traveler has placed their trust in him. And he intends to treat that trust carefully.

For multiple reasons. Ayaka cares for the Traveler, as does Thoma. Sayu as well. Traveler is also arguably one of the most influential figures in Inazuma at this point - specifically because of the relationship they have with key figures in Inazuman politics. Kokomi, Yae Miko, Kujou Sara, the Shogun especially. Hell, the Kamisato clan as well.

Traveler is basically the closest confidant of the literal Inazuman Archon, the Guuji, and Watatsumi’s leader. If we arent counting Yae Miko & Ei for each other.

Ntm Traveler is literally atp the most wellconnected person in Teyvat as a whole.

But beyond that - the Traveler is also just a genuinely good person. Ayato respects that.

They arent friends, and I’d say Traveler is aware of that, and probably really isnt bothered.

But Ayato isnt putting up much of a facade around them, not really. At least i’d argue, not one like that.

If we talking about Fox! Traveler and Paimon then they should interact with yae miko and tightnari, the foxlings, also for yae miko one would assume that avarage Inazuma citezien would confuse traveler and Paimon as kitsunes lmao

Inazuma assuming Traveler is a Kitsune would be funny. Mostly because it would clear up the assumption that Traveler is young (what with having a tail + human form).. but it wouldnt actually aid much in actually helping people understand their true age.

By all means, it Traveler was a kitsune like Yae Miko, they’d have 9 tails. Because damn they’re old.

Well they do match the color scheme for a kitsune of that age lmao.

Tighnari would have two reactions. Either just ‘Oh hey, we’re similar species’ (false) if they met for the first time with Traveler as a fox. Or if Traveler became a fox later on, he’d be concerned over the health implications of sudden foxification.

Either way, he’s probably be at least somewhat peeved that Foxveler is better with the heat than him.. especially if Traveler is more red fox.

Yae Miko would have WAYYY too much fun with Foxveler, regardless of if they’re a fox when they first meet or not.

She would 100% play into the kitsune rumors. Hell, she’d probably try to profit off it…

I mean.

Poor Traveler man, they’re being roped into being her apprentice or something… mostly to make an LN off it..

So is Paimon!

Actually ngl, Traveler would lowk end up sacrificing themself to her whims so long as she leaves Paimon alone lmao.

Aether:Valuable, but not what I want. Can you teach me how to use stellar reactions?

Sandrone:In theory, it would be within your control. I don’t exactly know the ins and outs of my new abilities, so I doubt I can provide clear guidance. But I see no reason not to try. Very well. Resonate with cryo.

Aether:Can’t.

Sandrone:Please see yourself out.

Aether:Wait! It’s a two way reaction!

Aether:See? I figured I could gather some practice and see what happens when I eventually get to a statue of the Cryo archon

Sandrone:You have to touch a statue of each god?

Aether:Th-That’s not common intel?

Sandrone:It’s not like we keep an eye on you 24/7. Hmm, as gesture of good will, I won’t bother committing it to memory. Not like we could stop you from reaching one anyways. Now then, give me your hand.

If he had 100 mora every time someone told him that…He held his hand palm upwards. Sandrone lightly placed her hand on top, channeling a stream of cryo. Aether followed her lead with channeling electro. This tingling sensation between them made ice crystals form as currents of electricity bounced between them. It almost looked like constellations.

Sandrone:Feel anything different from normal superconduct?

Aether:It definitely feels…clearer? If that makes any kind of sense. I can feel the muscles in my fingers flexing. Not sure if I’m reacting correctly, or you’re slowly giving me frostbite.

Sandrone:!? Shoot.

She removed her hand immediately, taking his glove with her. Yeah, his fingertips were red.

Sandrone:Oh for the love of- could you not be so calm about it next time!?

Aether:I didn’t know what was gonna happen!?

Sandrone:Sigh, sit down so I can patch you up. I should’ve known better! We should’ve directed the elemental energy between something instead of directly.

Aether:It’s fine. Lesson learned. I definitely felt…something. Who knows, maybe this will make me learn it for sure in the future? If that does happen, I’ll name an attack after you.

Sandrone:The last thing i need fatui soldiers hearing before you harm them is you saying my name! I have enough paperwork as it is when I get back.

Aether:That’s fair.
