Yes, indeed. Let me just tell you what Wealthy Affiliate is all about. It is some place which taught me internet marketing in the first place. The largest of it’s kind, 100% authentic and successful community of entrepreneurs who get involved and help each other out.

The Link Tracking tools checks your links and manage your campaigns by using your Google, Yahoo, Bing IDs for analytics. This is a fairly lesser used tool but may come in handy at a later stage.

This priceless feature of Wealthy Affiliate is what makes it so powerful apart from the training. Not just authors, owners, but everyone can access the live chat system here, to ask questions about their doubts, issues where they are stuck, knowing other stuffs, taking to each other, getting used to the community and its members.
The Live Chat is available 24/7 and since there are Wealthy Affiliate members around almost every part of the world, the chat is where you will go first to clear your doubts or get solutions.
Wealthy Affiliate community has a very strong cohesiveness, and that makes it a very successful community. Almost everyone who can, chips in with valuable materials and provide help whenever necessary.
Even, I as a long time member of Wealthy Affiliate, am continuously going through the live chat to see if someone need my help. And whenever, I used to get stuck in my initial days, I would make use of thee Wealthy Affiliate chat system.
Whenever someone comments on any post or training, that appears as “unanswered” on anyone’s dashboard who is following that post and also in the list of unanswered questions along the entire website. So, anyone who knows the answer replies to your comment and you get informed immediately via email. So, even when you are stuck in the training, you have backup.
Wealthy Affiliate holds a private mailing (PM) system, which can be used to send private mails to members from within the website. This can be useful to share confidential information, asking for help from experienced users, and owners if required.

Affiliate Program – With mouth watering commissions
Wealthy Affiliate has a very nice Affiliate program themselves. The commissions are huge and many a old members stick to the community only because of this awesome program.But that is not why I am calling it “Great”. The affiliate program is great because as a Wealthy Affiliate member, you will not only start to master your online business but also keep earning while you learn for the community itself.
The affiliate commission structure is explained in detail in a later blog. But for the purpose of clarity of how good the commissions are, here is a small breakdown.
A member joins as a premium member: You get $8 for that referral in the first month and it it recurring at $17 every month.
A member joins as a free member: You get $1 for successful reference.
A member joins as a yearly premium member: You get a one time $175 yearly recurring commission.
Drawbacks and shortcomings
Many a people who are promoting Wealthy Affiliate take great pride in saying that there are no drawbacks of this community. Some say that the only drawback is that “Wealthy Affiliate training resources are exhaustive”. But this sounds more like a marketing strategy than information.
There are so many good features of Wealthy Affiliate that it is possible to get swayed as being biased. But as Chkweb is an unbiased review site and he is responsible for providing info for both sides of the story, there as the following limitations of Wealthy Affiliate.

All of them have workarounds and are not necessarily be seen as hurdles that you have to get used to. Rather the workarounds are the actual practices that you should follow within the site to make your life easier in the community. This is an alert box, which you can dismiss after you have read the content.[/alert]
The live chat is addictive. What I mean is that you might go there to ask a question , but then get involved with chatting and get distracted from the work on your site. My recommendation is to use the live chat only when you need help and not stay there after you have got the solution. Even if you are providing help to others, do so only when you have free time to do so.
The owners take a long time sometimes to reply to you through private mails. This can be considered to be obvious as they might be receiving a lot of mails. So, the solution would be to use live chat, then comments, then create a blog highlighting your issue, and finally PM any other non-owner member of the community. If you have technical issues, you can PM the owners and they will reply to you within 4-7 days.
The training is exhaustive. Do not blame me. This is actually a fact. The issue however, is that many training are a repetition with the authors sometimes not updating the content with new changes. This can sometimes lead to wrong implementation of said steps and create errors on your site.
The Commission structure is directed towards making you sign up as a premium member. I am sorry to put it like that. But it is true. Wealthy Affiliate provides 100% more commissions to the premium members. So, as a starter member you get $4 and if you were a premium member you get $8. However, let me put this in another way. As a premium member you get free hosting, free keyword tools, free access to live training and premium courses, live chat and commenting, removed restrictions on interactions within the site and finally 100% more commissions. I don’t see a reason why you should not become a premium member except if it is a money issue.
Create competition within the community. The community has a very strong ranking system which ranks members based on their activity on the site. The rankings create a feeling of competition within the community members, and they try to remain more and more active to improve their rankings. However, the drawback is you are not spending more time on you own website and business. My recommendation is not to get motivated by the competition. It will be beneficial in the long run.
So, as you see the community drawbacks are very subtle and have very simple workarounds. They are more good practices within the community and so will help you to optimize the usefulness of the time you spend here.
