Chloe and the Stars is a cool show about a girl band in space. The Kickstarter is to raise movie to make a pilot so it can hopefully get picked up and be a real show. Chloe and the Stars is by Meaghan Dunn who maded The Kitty Bobo Show.

Shows with bands is a rarity and this one has an all girl one! It looks like a super cool show.

Come on, Max. Don’t fear for the worst! You’re judging a book by it’s cover (and yes, that’s an idiom, mind you). Sure the donation is smaller than what the creator, her team, and we, hoped for, but we have ten days left. Jesus, take your time and relax!

And regardless of how it ends up something tells me it won't be the last you hear of Chloe and the Stars! If anything we've found some awesome fans, and we sure wouldn't want to leave them disappointed!

Chloe and the Stars Kick Starter

Hey look at this Kick Starter by the creator of the Kitty Bobo pilot. I have a need for animated female bands.

It’s about a band. In space. There’s more.

The band has magical instruments that transform into weapons when they’re in danger - or when they just need to hit something.

Their manager is a transforming, robotic dog who doubles as their lead singer’s guardian.

They have a rival, Lavender, who has a promising future as a world-conquering super-villain if the whole music thing doesn’t work out.

All of those cartoons above (save the PPGs) were made by awesome female creators (Craig’s awesome too). The one on the bottom is the only one that doesn’t have a show … yet.

Chloe and the Stars is a currently active Kickstarter that is about halfway through and has only made 1/5th of its goal (as of 8/21/14). Here’s the link. More info about it there; it ends on September 5th. At this rate, I can’t tell whether or not it’ll make its goal.

I used those images to show all these great, recent (again, save the PPGs) cartoons we have with cool female characters and how women making cartoons is a lot more common now. Chloe and the Stars would be a great addition. Which is why I’m hoping making this post will encourage people to be aware of it and back it. A lot of people in animation I look up to (Jerry Beck, Chris Battle) have also shown their support for the project.

The creator is Meagan Dunn, who wrote a pilot for Cartoon Network that aired in 2001. Give it a look! She’s also doing a Reddit AMA tomorrow (8/22/14) so check that out (if it hasn’t happened yet).

At least go watch the Kickstarter video, it looks amazing! I understand money is tight for some and you might not be able to contribute but if you want this to happen, just let people know about this project at least! Spread the word!

What is show about ?

Chloe and the Stars is about a girl band (The titular Chloe and the Stars) touring the galaxy to perform gigs and occasionally (a little more than occasionally) fighting space monsters and aliens!

You see each member of the band has a magic piece of jewelry that not only transforms into their instruments, but also a powerful weapon, perfect for stopping evil-doers!

The pilot episode of the show focuses on introducing each of the girls and then their journey to compete in the Intergalactic Battle of the Bands held every year on Planet Versus.

Chloe and the Stars is an original cartoon from the creator of Cartoon Network’s “A Kitty Bobo Show.” Help us fund the pilot episode!

The latest episode of Space Dandy and the arguably recent cancellation of The Aquabats! Super Show! has made me realized that there is a severe lack of rock and roll, outer space, battle shows out there today.

And that just won’t do.

So I hope that those that find this premise and the infectious spirit and energy of its creative team promising can assist me in throwing money at this worthy cause of getting more cosmic hijinks starring a troupe of mad musicians that battle and sing their way through the stars and potentially universal stardom and several action-packed seasons.

Whichever comes first.
