Every year in the winter my outdoor box turtle buries himself in the ground to brumate and I don’t see him at all until it gets warm again. I always worry about him all winter, so you can imagine how wonderful it is to see him out begging for food during the first warm days of spring! I just had to grab him his favorite treat- a juicy strawberry 🍓
