Dynamight and Deku are on night patrol together, but there seems to have been a certain incident...
Fans collecting a bunch of (evidence) pictures in which pro hero Dynamight stares at pro hero Deku like he adores him; some of their fans swear they can see the hearts all around the explosive pro hero.
A couple of videos of different interviews are posted online, edited in a way that the main focus is Dynamight's expression whenever pro hero Deku starts talking. Some of the explosive pro hero's fans claim that they can't even recognize him: Dynamight smiles at his hero partner with such fondness that he turns into a meme and people start saying that he's so down bad for Deku even though they are not even dating yet.
There's also the clear difference of his treatment of Deku and pretty much everyone else; his fans have never seen him act that soft and gentle around anyone before.
Dynamight, the symbol of victory, also turns in the symbol of yearning, unconditional love and becomes the unofficial captain of pro hero Deku's simps.
Others claim that the explosive hero won't take long to dismiss the rumors, based on the way he attacks anyone who blatantly spreads lies about him or his hero partner whenever he can.
But that doesn't happen, at least not when people say that he's head over heels for Deku or that he's so whipped he'd do anything for his childhood friend.
That's when things start getting weird and even the most skeptical fans have to admit that it seems the rumors are true: pro hero Dynamight is truly in love with his partner.
However, pro hero Deku doesn't seem to actually see what's going on; some reporters have asked him about his relationship with Dynamight and he insists they're just friends as the blond pro hero's soul leaves his body in the background.
The pining is so obvious, the fans have started to ask Deku's students to help him see what's clearly in front of him.
It's clearly time for an intervention.
Quirkless AU. Bakugou is the student council president. No one dares to step out of line. No one dares to speak up. Everyone's terrified.
And then there's Deku. Who's a bit clumsy, almost always out of luck and ending up in trouble and Bakugou is sooo fed up.
I think it would be funny af. Bonus points if they kiss.

Seto Kaiba really is The Character of All Time. He has more money than God. He's the reincarnation of an Ancient Egyptian Priest. He gets a lobotomy that erases all the evil in his heart and is still mostly a dick. He loves his brother more than himself. He drove his step-father to suicide at age 10. He's obsessed with one very specific Dragon. He killed the digital ghost his step-father left behind. He literally said "Stop saving the world and get a hobby." People are constantly trying to steal his company. He turned the in-universe equivalent of Lockheed Martin into the in-universe equivalent of Nintendo. A second lobotomy would not fix him. He gets his soul stolen more than once. He flies around in a jet shaped like the Dragon he's obsessed with. His entire dueling strategy is summoning the Dragon he's obsessed with and bludgeoning people to death with it. Somehow this strategy worked so well that he never lost before he got lobotomized. People try to kill him with satallites.
He's like 16 years old.
Rudo who disvovers sexual diversity once he's on the Ground.
Up in the Sphere, everything was pretty heteronormative, while the Ground is much more open and accepting.
It's this culture shock where he sees like Enjin and Gris kiss one day and is like "??? What??? Tf is going on???" and Enjin is just like "gay people exist, kid"
Enjin KISS!!! Let's go, guys
i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive
Truth. I just wish more people would understand and apply these.
what I like about Yugi is that he is definitely in that "kind non-violent all-loving friendships-everyone" protagonist archetype but most of the time we expect those sorts of characters to wear their hearts on their sleeves or solve their problems via communication and understanding, whereas one of Yugi Muto's defining character traits is that he'd rather die than admit he has a problem. you can pour soup directly in his lap and he'll be like "oh that's okay ^_^" while internally burning with such an unquenchable incandescent rage at you that 30 minutes later his evil shadow self confronts you in a back alley and forces you to play something called Knife Pogs (a game he just made up that's like Pogs but the pogs are knives so every time you hit the stack a bunch of knives fly out and stab you in the kneecaps). so that's fun
Remember when Yugi's class lost their good school fair table to another class because a bully was a bit overbearing about it so Yami invented Gunpowder Air Hockey and blew him up? That was great. I don't think they'd introduced the card game yet at that point.
#dont forget the part about gunpowder air hockey where the puck was made of ice with a gunpowder core and it was on a hot plate#so A: every second spent with it in play it was melting#and B: every single hit chipped away at the ice#second favorite yugioh moment#only second to the taser torture scene#yugioh
The taser torture scene was so cool he fuckin fried those motherfuckers
#what the fuck is the plot of yugioh
Oh you do not want to get into something as esoteric as the plot
bringing this back like 10 years later
i just found out something interesting regarding the hidden inventory arc. so im gonna share it.
hidden inventory in japanese is ‘懐玉’ (kaigyoku) which means ‘harboring a jewel’ and comes from an old chinese idiom ‘被褐懐玉’ (hikatsu kaigyoku). the idiom describes someone who has ‘hidden’ great worth, talent, wisdom, virtue that is kept under a humble appearance.
by my understanding this reflects gojo. sure he wasn’t humble but this title refers to his enlightenment. he is ‘revealing’ his jewel, his talent and therefore becoming ‘precious’ like one. satoru (悟) literally means enlightenment.
but now to premature death. premature death in japanese is ‘玉折’ (gyokusetsu).
as you can see both share the kanji ‘玉’ (gyoku), which means gem/jewel or a precious stone like jade.
however ‘玉折’ (gyokusetsu) means something else. it comes from the idiom ‘蘭摧玉折’ (ransai gyokusetsu). its english meaning is somewhat: ‘[the orchid is destroyed] and the jade is broken.’ both orchids and jades symbolize precious, beautiful things. it can also be understood as ‘the breaking of a jewel’.
but this idiom is used to poetically describe the premature death or tragic end of a person who had great talent or high morals.
i believe it refers to geto. he used to be the one with the moral concept of protecting others, but due to the events and the ugliness of humans and the constant pressure, he defected. in words, his jewel ‘broke’, which also marks the death of the person he used to be. suguru (傑) literally means excellence/worth or extraordinary/outstanding.
and if you put both titles together:
懐玉・玉折 (kaigyoku gyokusetsu) translates as ‘hidden inventory | premature death”.
it symbolizes the finding of a jewel (in gojo’s case—his enlightenment) and the destroying and loss of a jewel (in this case geto and his deterioration/defection).
