Ok, so now that my guesses for episode 12 were true, (the Christmas episode building up the timeline for Valentine’s Day and they would tie that into introductions Hana).
I have theories for episode 13 (or what I’d like to happen)
It starts in Hirose’s POV and how his Valentine’s went (since they implied Hana must have confessed on that day before school ended). He packs his bag with the chocolates he plans to give to nakamura (all the girls have cutesy chocolate bags and Hirose has the same package Nakamura has so I assume it’s from Hirose and not given from Hana). They show Hana’s confession which Hirose accepts, but he’s obviously conflicted and confused based on how he approached Nakamura after school despite just being confessed to by a pretty girl earlier that day. (He’s already said how he doesn’t quite understand the hype around girls like when Takeuchi talks to him about it). He ponders throughout the day and waits for Nakamura after school and we get his perspective on that conversation, as well as his aftermath of when he left.
Hirose comes back to school the day after Nakamura finds out he has a girlfriend to see that he’s not at school. Hirose tries to message Nakamura but he doesn’t get a response, even after waiting like two-three days.
Nakamura gets sick from being out in the cold (seems so as it’s February) and crying all night. He eventually came back on his own but went straight to his room and only Kana saw him. He continues sulking all day while he’s sick and Kana gets seriously worried this time. His mom is worried too but Kana’s the one who actually gets him to open up because he probably didn’t expect her to seek out and confront him. Nakamura tells her a bit about the situation and she puts the pieces together (she probably already knew he was gay tho and I don’t think he’d explicitly say it and just say crush). Kana gives him a sort of back-handed encouragement (as siblings do, not wanting to show they care but subtly showing it), and Nakamura reflects rather than sulks.
Since Hirose doesn’t get a response and nobody else he’s asked knows what’s going on, he decides to go to Nakamura house to check on him. Hana and Hirose breakup before then, reacting what Hirose said here about what Hana said to him when she dumped him. (Hana sees him being distracted by Nakamura’s absence and they just didn’t match well, her saying he’s “no fun”).
Kana answers the door and tells Hirose that Nakamura is sick, and she probably pieces together that this might be the person Nakamura was talking about. So she lets him in guides him to Nakamura’s room (their parents are still at work since this is right after school). Nakamura is super surprised Hirose is here and probably breaks down again cuz bros in his feels or smth.
Hirose tries to comfort him and Nakamura probably brings up Hana, warranting this interaction from the manga:
SO, either this ends in Nakamura’s confession or builds up to season 2.
I just want a sick episode please just let me have this. Anyway I can’t wait another week for the conclusion I’m actually distraught.
