In light of Beyonce releasing Black Parade tonight..

maybe we could. not meme on beyoncé after she released a song celebrating blackness on a day of historical significance to Black people just because the title has a passing resemblance to a fourteen year old song by a bunch of white/white passing guys.

idk just a thought that the middle of huge civil and political upheaval resulting from hundreds of years of racism and anti-black police violence isn’t the best time to try and make the actions of a Black woman somehow about your white/passing faves.

esp @ y’all in the notes goin “how dare she” or “is it even a good song?” that’s like... really insensitive

i know like. joking about things to lighten the mood is common esp online but it doesn’t take a lot of critical thinking to realise this might be a little tone deaf
