Lilium didn’t know how he got here.

Correction, he knew how he got here. What he didn’t know was why it dragged on for this long.

He didn’t intend to wander so far from camp, but he did. And so here he was, perched on a tree to escape a dog that had chased him for far longer than he’d like.

Sometimes the prince of flowers wished he had the ability to understand all animals instead of insects and birds. Maybe then he’d ask all the dogs in the world why they hated him so much.

Lilium clutched the branch he was on, watching as the dog below growled at him.

“BARK BARK BARK!”

“You’re so cute looking.. Why do you hate me so much?” He asked dejectedly, knowing he won’t get an answer back. No, he was not pouting. You’re delusional. Hallucinating, even.

“Hey. What are you doing up there?”Lucille asks walking closer to the tree

Lilium yelped at the sound of Lucille’s voice, eyes darting around before landing on her.

“I didn’t see you–“ “BARKBARK!!” the dog continued to growl below.

“Shoo,”Luci says to the dog making shooing motions at the dog.

“just fixing your problem,”she says

The dog barked a few times before eventually leaving, but not without giving Lilium a growl.

Lilium slumped as he watched the dog trot away, wings behind him shuffling. “Thank you,” he let out a breath.

“Don’t worry. I’m Lucile by the way,”She says

He offered a small smile. “I’m Lilium.”
