Not even just the sentiment, but particularly the placement of “gladly” just elevates it. “I would gladly walk into it at your side”\”I would walk into it at your side, gladly”\”Gladly, I would walk into it at your side” they just don’t hit the same, you know? But placing it there, at “into it gladly” it sounds off in such a nice way that it sticks better in the mind, and considering the source, the unusual-ness of putting it there just fits so well.
