What was the reason you started shipping Shadamy?

I’ve been into a lot of different media over the years, but I really do have to say, Shadamy is truly in the very highest tier of my favourite ships.

When it comes to romance, the thing that draws me in the absolute most is when there’s a character who has a void in their heart, trauma ingrained into the fabric of their being, and this person comes into their lives and just gets them. Others might misunderstand the traumatized character, think that the traumatized character is cold or otherwise impenetrable, maybe even view them as an asshole…but that special person just somehow manages to reach into the depths of their soul and see their truth. They might even call them out on their bullshit. Accept them and all of their darkness. Believe in them when no one else can see what they see. Save them. Profoundly.

This is the most romantic thing in the world to me. Several of the ships in my pinned Meet The Artist post have this in some way or another.

Shadamy has this in spades and it really touches my heart. I absolutely love the dynamic they have and how they interact with each other.

Amy can reach Shadow when no one else can.

This started in the very game where he made his debut.

Upon their very first encounter, Amy glomped him thinking he was Sonic. He let her. He freaking smiled.

In that same game, she was the catalyst to his face turn.

The importance of this moment in Shadow’s life cannot be understated.

As time goes on, it’s clear that he has a soft spot for her. Ian Flynn agrees …

So it honestly makes a lot of sense for Char & Challia to form a bond. Char stole the Gundam so no Amuro, that also means no chasing the White Base to earth, which means Garma doesn't get assassinated. This means Char doesn't get removed from Dozle's command, which means he doesn't meet Lalah in a brothel (unlike what was shown in Gundam: The Origin, Char doesn't meet Lalah before the OYW).

No Amuro & No Lalah means Char needs a different Newtype to be his obsession. Besides Challia Bull, Lalah, & Char there are only 2 other known Newtypes fighting for Zeon during the OYW but both are more well known in Manga, Novels, & Games than in anime. Challia Bull was the most logical choice.

They are both soulless cashgrab remakes of genre defining 6th generation games that already had well made HD ports available on modern systems.

The only difference is Delta is bringing back old Content that had to be removed from the ports. RE4make charged you extra for shit that was standard in the ports.
