Here she was, once again, at her least favorite part of the school. It wasn’t that she hated it or anything. In fact,it was much, much nicer than the reserve course building and it had a much more relaxed atmosphere. It must be nice to study over here. The only thing that made her dislike it was the higher chance of seeing her brother and then having to think of an excuse. But, if her teacher said she had to go pick up a book from their library, she had to to do it.
As Komaru walked down the halls, she kept looking around to make sure her brother was nowhere to be seen. She made it about half way to the library before seeing something out of the corner of her eye. Stopping, she turned on her heels and looked over at the nearby wall. There sat her big brother, asleep, up against the wall.
She couldn’t just leave him there…It was her brother after all! He obviously wasn’t getting enough sleep if he was falling asleep in the middle of the hall. Sighing, she went over to him and got on her knees next to him. She could think of an excuse as to why she was there later, for now she had to at least get him to his room to rest. Placing her hand on his shoulder, she gave him a small and gentle shake.
“Hey…Onii-chan, you can’t sleep in the middle of the hallway. Are you feeling okay?”
Makoto didn’t get sick super often, but he was actually a bit above average in that matter. He didn’t even need anyone around him to be sick. What was he thinking about now...? He just hadn’t slept for a while, so...
Was he dreaming...? Makoto was certain his little sister was at home, but she was right here... however, registering her touch, he was able to figure out it was reality. Holding back a yawn, he took in his surroundings. Makoto was only asleep for a couple of minutes, right...? It seemed like so much longer, though...
“Komaru...”
Her question went in one ear and right out the other -- his sleep deprived mind could only focus on one thing: “What are you doing here?”
