A lot of pop psychology gets thrown around and since I already have a headache, here's preventing you lot from making it worse.

Love-bombing: A manipulation tactic of increasing affection and grand gestures before or after doing something abusive, specifically to weasel one's way out of consequences.

What it is not: A streak of affection and generosity towards friends/loved ones.

Trauma-bonding: Knowingly traumatizing someone to take advantage of their vulnerable state, to then act like the "hero" or the one who cheers them up.

What it is not: Bonding over similar traumas.

Gaslighting: *Knowingly* convincing someone they cannot trust their own perception of a situation in pursuit of one's own narrative.

What it is not: Misaligned perception of events.

Narcissist: Someone afflicted with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a traumagenic cluster B disorder, that struggles with self-obsession, paranoia, craving validity from the public, delusions of grandeur, and social disconnection.

It is not: Your rubbish ex that cheated on you.

Just wanted to take the time to go on a little rant here.

Lately I've been seeing people (my family 😭) throwing around common propaganda out about Fidel Castro so might as well discuss some of it.

- "Fidel had wanted to attack the United States unprovoked" this claim comes from the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis, but its a claim that's been debunked before and after the crisis happened. Fidel had made it very clear throughout his entire life before and after his political career that he was not fond of the United States, although in the beginning he was willing to have peaceful cooperation with them and had some admiration in his younger years (like in his letter to FDR) but as time passed he knew clearly that the US would only be interested in cooperation if it meant that Cuba would become aligned with the exact policies of the US that Fidel made it clear he was against, which Fidel would obviously not accept so cooperation failed as a result of the US. This along with other instances that the US would plot against Fidel like the Bay of Pigs Invasion or the numerous assassination attempts on his life, eventually caused the Cuban Missile Crisis. This means that Fidel only acted out of retaliation to being attacked first by the United States.

- "He suppressed the rights of the Cuban people" this claim likely comes from defectors and the persecution of LGBT people in Cuba. The Cuban Revolution had sought to expand the rights of the people. In order to understand that one should be aware of the state of Cuba prior to the revolution, due to the March 10th coup d'etat which placed Fulgencio Batista in power in the country, he saw that Cubans especially minorities like Afro Cubans had restricted freedoms and opportunities. The Cuban Revolution had sought to change this and ensuring the rights of minorities in Cuba is something that was in large part a success and also a process still ongoing today. For the latter part of the argument, the claim that Fidel had purposely persecuted LGBT people, although unfortunately yes LGBT people were persecuted in Cuba under Fidel, however he did not know of it and stopped it as soon as he had learned of it in 1979. Later in 2010 several years after he stepped down and several years after LGBT people had gotten their rights further expanded, Fidel not only took further accountability for what had happened to the LGBT community but also had explained that because the US was constantly plotting against him at the time these persecutions were happening, he could not pay proper attention to them which is why he stopped it as late as he did.

- "Fidel ruined the Cuban economy" This likely comes from Cuba's poor state economically speaking, which is a result of US policy. To further explain, immediately after the Cuban Revolution, Fidel had started immediately making social changes to the country like agrarian and land reforms, seizing of private businesses, ect. which had gone directly against the path the US wanted the revolution to go. As a result the US had placed heavy economic sanctions and a trade embargo on the country meaning nothing can go in or out from the US, and a heavy fine would have to be paid otherwise. Naturally this damaged the Cuban economy but despite this Cuba still stands strong against the US, they have world renowned healthcare, long life expectancy, and many services in the country are free of cost despite the embargo. Because of this resilience Cuba can still stand with the revolutionary government regardless of what the US has done to them.

- Made freak fanfic of Che Guevara, yes im starting with this. This creature feature made smut fanfic of Che and Aleida March, not only her though, he also went and made a Cuban Revolution self insert (who was Che's gringo slave and Che rapes this self insert in the fanfic I wish I could make this shit up.) AND went on to make che smut of my best friend (Franco) 🙊🙊🙊

- Secondly this freakazoid also groomed Franco. Yup the infamous J*an grooming story, first of all this guy meets Franco ON MY FUCKING BIRTHDAY and develops a crush on him, for one, for two he groomed my best friend to regurgitate many of the sexual things he said about Che (these things have long since been rescinded my bsf is NOT a freak.) and lastly he's obviously not telling his counselor the full story, if somehow he and his counselor came to the conclusion that me and Franco were being groomed by our other friend Olu (who we dont rlly talk to that often btw) then hes obviously not telling the full story. Infact Olu barely pointed out Jean's behavior until halfway into the relationship because they wanted to help both Jean and Franco, and I only first contacted Olu to get Franco out of that relationship in the first place, where exactly is the grooming??

- Less severe but this BOP also fakes its gender dysphoria. This thing claims to be "transmasc" and has the full support of its family and community yet refuses to attempt to transition, I have many transmasc friends who DONT have that kind of acceptance yet transitioned, hell one of my ex friends is literally LITHUANIAN (Eastern Europe for the idiots) and STILL transitioned despite the threat of being disowned, stalked, and killed. Not only that but this guys symptoms of gender dysphoria are little to none, as someone who suffers from gender dysphoria myself and might very well be transfem (im still experimenting with my identity on that one) this guy has literally ZERO symptoms that myself and many of my friends have experienced regarding gender (also id like to note that I literally make more of an effort to pass as a woman in my little experience with crossdressing than this guy ever has/will pass as a man bc he clearly doesnt want to and also just making my online identity very feminine) also Jean has said multiple times how hes almost gone back "completely female" which is kinda weird since it says its still transmasc???

- Lastly he does not care for the politics he claims to support, he claims to be a communist/marxist yet refuses to read Marx, ONLY researches Che Guevara, and doesn't even know other important leftists beyond their names. He's constantly criticized Castro with little to no reasoning other than "he's weird" and he doesn't even treat Che like he was a real person but rather that of a fictional character. Yet he still claims to be an oppressed Communist??

Overall Jean is a disgusting piece of shit, he fetishizes anything and everything, draws porn of god knows what at this point. He loves 15 year old boys because he has his sex fantasies with Franco. And he's a MASSIVE shittalker, like if you're gonna talk shit on me and Olu atleast let us a chance to speak with you, you are beyond overreacting over everything and just because Olu told you to shut up doesn't make them a groomer by any means. And maybe keep me out of your fanfics next time "Remember when Santiago said he'd doxx you" Your obsession with me is APPALLING 💜

EDIT: Another thing Jean had done was emotionally blackmail Franco over his mental health. Jean and Franco dated for about 2 months and in those two months Jean had gone to every extreme possible for his "love" for Franco, keep in mind Franco is only 15 and had to deal with suicide over his head CONSTANTLY. That's the only reason he stayed, Franco never even loved Jean in the first place, infact hes ALWAYS hated him. Also this whole situation has lead to things like Jean saying he'd get himself "chemically castrated" and also Jean would force conditions on me that I never agreed to, that "no contact for a year" absolute bs, Jean just can't accept that someone's gonna be mad if you groom their bsf 😣😣😣
