As I slog my way through the Wheel of Time (on book 10) there's a lot that can be said about the books content, and Robert Jordans style.

Could he have left out the specifics of every woman's dress/neckline/cleavage? For certain. Grown and married men who are competent leaders & intelligent people somehow being baffled at everything a woman does, and maintaining an inner monologue for these men that lines up with that of a 12 year old? You betcha.

But! I really enjoy when he describes some random lil handmade object, like a person's pewter jug, or a finely crafted wooden box for things like salt or something. I think that's charming
