Such is life in Soviet Russia
So pretty, I'd love to shoot these guns but I'd also be afraid to scratch them.
Just your average party
So I was playing in a D20 Modern game run by a good friend of mine, we were supposed to have been taken to a druglord's mansion by two of his body guards, but my character was an ex-cop and having none of it. So we enter combat. They go first, but roll extremely low and one of their weapons jam on a Nat 1. I go, called shot head, roll at Nat 20 and slam a round through his skull. Second attack, another called shot, another Nat 20. My friend, Kurt flips his shit. Nothing quite like a good plot de-rail to pass the time.
I'm bringing my old N64 out of retirement. I missed the trident control more then I thought I would. It's been so long since I played, I just gotta tease my way back into it.
Love
Every time I have my heart ripped out I make a small promise to myself to not fall for anyone else.
And yet in maybe a years time someone else comes along who knocks my legs out from under me and I'm falling face first towards the concrete for them.
The worst part is that I get so caught up in that tumultuous whirlwind of emotions, that initial rush of my heart starting to beat again, that I want to fall. So instead of catching myself, I propel myself downwards with increasing speed.
Then given time, I'll have my heart ripped out once again and so I'll begin the climb back up, to precariously position my heart and reassure myself that I will never fall again.
Even though I know I want to.
