Unpopular Opinion

There is no such thing as “toxic masculinity,” just toxic men. Calling men’s masculinity “toxic” is harmful and oppressive. Most people who spew this “toxic masculinity” crap are women who don’t understand men and paint a broad brush over them when men do something they don’t like. Something quite hypocritical when women express their contempt when men do the same thing.

Men can and should be allowed to be sensitive. They should be allowed to cry. However, they shouldn’t be forced to cry or show their emotions like the way you think they should. They should be allowed to be angry. To be aggressive. To be assertive. Not in bursts of rage and fury, but channeling it in healthy ways.

I’m not a man, and I don’t understand what it is like to be a man. All I know is that a man should allowed to be whoever he wants to be, as long he is not harming others.
