🌛🌕Full Moons of the Year🌕🌜
the full moons of the year have a variety of names and were originally used to track the seasons and year, often used by farmers for planting/harvesting reference. each full moon may have various different names, the names used are the most common ones currently.

❄️️ SNOW MOON - full moon of february. influences family related magic, domestic magic, spells that benefit others, and psychic abilities
🐛 WORM MOON - full moon of march. influences preparation, planning, and time-intensive rituals, prosperity and healing magic, and tech witchcraft
🌸 PINK MOON - full moon of april. influences spells that encourage growth, green witchcraft, potential, new beginnings, and working on relationships.
💐 FLOWER MOON - full moon of may. influences commitments, strengthend foundations, green/herbal witchcraft, spirituality and working with spirits.
🍓 STRAWBERRY MOON - full moon of june. influences love spells, friendship spells, magic that instigates changes and introspection, and travel magic.

🐟 STURGEON MOON - full moon of august. influences magic that gives back to others, magic that deals with emotionality, sea, river, and water witchcraft.
🍎 HARVEST MOON - full moon of september. influences kitchen witchcraft completion, harvesting collecting debts, some interpret to be cursing.
🏹 HUNTER’S MOON - full moon of october. influences money, home, and protection spells, the search for guides and spirit work, astral traveling.
🐀 BEAVER MOON - full moon of november. influences home and hearth, and preparation for the winter, cosmic/celestial witchcraft, astrology, revealings
❄️️ COLD MOON - full moon of december. influences protection spells, self care spells, renewal and prosperity spells, ending and casting curses.
🌛 BLUE MOON - happens usually every 2.7 years. it is the second full moon in one month because the 12 full moons do not always divide evenly over the year, the month it happens in changes. best for magic that encourages wisdom, healing, logic, and studying,

thank you, opportunity
this morning NASA abandoned their mars rover Opportunity (aka Oppy) because it (she) got hit by a storm on Mars and it knocked her camera and wheels out and her last words to the team were “my battery is low and it is getting cold”. I know she’s a machine but I’m devastated. Oppy is the one who discovered water on Mars. RIP oppy ily space baby
Aww... I was already sad, but now I must have gotten something in my eyes... 😔

When winter comes, the winter wild that hill and wood shall slay; When trees shall fall and starless night devour the sunless day..
I hope this isn't rude, but I'm following a LOT of witch blogs. you being one of them. yet, when I look at the witch-related asks & answers for all of those blogs, other blogs are helpful and list spells and such. you just "no" whenever someone asks? Can I ask why you reject magic for a lot of your situations, considering you run a magic blog and are quite literally a creator of a magical how-to book?
simply because magic is not needed in every situation, nor is it advisable. recognizing when magic is and isn’t needed, or even a good idea is important in the life of the witch.
here are a couple of examples of such:
things i have answered “no” to today:
bewitching your significant other (consent issues anyone?)
bewitching a non-signif to find out personal things (consent again)
asked for a spell for communicating with spirits (just because a skill isn’t developed doesn’t mean a spell will replace experience)
weight loss spells (dangerous and against my personal morals)
however, the one outlier i include is this, because it’s important:
easily google-able question (as stated in previous posts, i encourage people to develop their own research skills so they can grow in their craft when they reach an area of their path where there isn’t someone around to hold their hand and slip them the answers)
as for your “other blogs are helpful and list spells and such”, i’d like to direct your attention to the many posts of lists and ~stuff~ i make for people. such as the:

Shit No One Told Me About My Period
I knew the basics before I got it, but I had no clue…
* The blood wouldn’t necessarily be red. When I first got my period, I spent a few min looking at my underwear wondering how I shit myself. I didn’t know the blood could look brown, or be thick.
* That tampons weren’t a good idea yet. I was 10 or 11 when I got my first period and physically smaller than an adult woman. My first attempt at inserting a tampon was very painful and unsuccessful. I wouldn’t use them until I was around 14 or so.
* That when you use pads the blood can get on your bottom and I’d have to occasionally clean off the toilet seat after using it.
* That getting your first period DOES NOT mean you’re fully developed and fully able to bear children. I could have technically gotten pregnant at that age, but I was still a child and pregnancy would have put my life in danger because I was still physically immature.
* That it wouldn’t be regular for another few years.
* That very painful cramping is NOT NORMAL once you reach your 20s and is cause for concern.
* That the blood and tissue you pass can look chunky or stringy and not like blood from a cut.
* That stress can halt your period for months BUT
* That doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant
Feel free to add your own
Relatable
-passing blood clots is completely normal
-that your period may straight up skip a month when you first get it
-and then it’ll happen twice in the same month
-getting your period does NOT automatically make you a woman
Painful cramping isn’t normal in your 20’s? That’s a little concerning, mine have been getting exponentially worse
It is NOT normal.
I can 100% guarantee you have endometriosis, PCOS, or another hormone problem. If your doctor says it’s normal, DEMAND a second opinion.
Thinking that it’s normal is how people end up infertile or dead. It’s why so many women under 40 these days are having an almost impossible time either conceiving or preventing conception. Because no one teaches anyone that it’s the sign of trouble that can very seriously hurt you.
Anyone who has severe cramps, heavy bleeding, or irregular periods after about 19 years old should seek medical advice. None of those are normal.
If you have skin tags, a hard time losing weight, migraines related to your period, depression that is amplified when menstruating, severe mood swings, sleep disturbances that get worse with menstruation, or any other significant health problem that started with puberty and is worse when hormones are fluctuating you need to be checked.
None of the things that people relate to women on their periods is actually an example of a healthy woman. It’s an example of people who need one form of treatment or another.
Do NOT go to a general doctor. Find a women’s health center. Obgyn doctors. ASK SPECIFICALLY FOR A FEMALE DOCTOR. (Also helps with creating a demand for female doctors, win-win)
And if the doctor you do see tried to write you off as “nothing” or “its normal”? Politely insist for another doctor. People forget: you are paying them for a service. If you believe the doctor is not taking you or your problems seriously, ASK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR. Specifically, “Do you have another doctor on staff who is more experienced with female health”. It is WELL within your right to change doctors as you see fit - you owe no loyalty to one specific doctor if they aren’t meeting your needs.
Reblogging for all my followers with vaginas. I have so many sisters and friends with vaginas and I didn’t know most of this. I turn 30 soon. You’d think I’d have pick up these bits of information over the years in conversation.
Hey!! Hey everybody with periods!!! If you have a period you should read this, because it’s helpful, and people with periods really aren’t taught enough about their own bodies.
even if u personally don’t get a period, someone u know/care abt prob does & u should pass this along
women’s health is health & we should all know these things, i feel
I am so angry I’m just finding out some of these. I’m 25.
Don’t be afraid to carry spare panties. Even with a tampon and a liner, heavy flow or inopportune positioning can lead to leaks and stains. If you have a problem that needs addressing, address it. Do not leak on yourself out of fear or embarrassment. Doods. Carry a small supply of hygiene products. I keep tampons and liners in my vehical. Even a cheep one could save the day sometime. TALK TO THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE. They know what works for them. Its a solid starting point. Ladies. Let the dudes in your life know what’s up. Some of us are good at dealing with lady bits. Some of us arn’t. Good info will help us do better. Remember varying degrees of comfort. Some ladies dont deal with gross guy stuff, just like some guys dont deal with gross lady stuff. There are people that faint at the sight of blood. You may have to explain in a way that wont scare bill from accounting. Bill still should get a clue
