The thing that pisses me off about the handling of tedbecca in ted lasso (and this has probably been said before) is that they set them up as these cosmically connected soulmates in the earlier seasons and later (I'm assuming because people started shipping them) the writers started to backpedal.

And I can respect them choosing to portray tedbecca as platonic but what I really can't respect is how it's portrayed as Less. Because they can be platonic and still have intricate storylines, they can be platonic and influence each others lives, they can have fights and resentments, they can be platonic and MATTER to each other.

I hate this insistance the writers have on not adressing Ted freezing Rebecca out in later seasons and how that might've hurt her, how him leaving after she did everything she could to make him stay might've hurt her - just because it's not Romantic. Platonic relationships can and DO hurt like hell because they're really fucking important!!
