Ever since Neteyam's death, Lo’ak just can’t help to forget his brother
That is easy to understand because Lo’ak never did anything without his big brother, even when fighting with the sky people, Teyam always stay by his side and regarded him. Teyam is the one who comprehends him the most, even more than, yeah, his parents do
He thought they could stay with each other for eternity
“Ha, that's just THOUGHT, right big brother ?” he laughed at himself, in tears...
And the day when the Sky people took his most important part away, he thought that he lost everything
And the other day are bored with Lo’ak because of the lack of his brother
The day when by, and the Metkayina clans continue their daily life
His family is getting over Teyam's death too
First is Tuk, his youngest sister, she found comfort in other same-age Metkayina kids
Then it’s Kiri, who now spent most of her time with Roxto
Finally, Lo’ak saw his mom smiling again
Dad looking good too, have too many things to do in the hunting season, and his pain has gone by the time
But there is still Lo’ak, who can’t ignore the past
The others try to cheer him up,
Mom made him his fav dish,
Kiri gives him a spectacular show of light, led by her,
Ao’nung and Roxto invited him to go hunt for fish
Even other Metkayina give him some extraordinary necklaces which just remind him about Neteyam
But all of their efforts are 100% fail
He just smiles and said thank
While his feelings are no better
He even ignores everybody, even his family, especially his dad, for no reason
But their still 1 guy that he cares for
Lo’ak never disregard her
She does nothing at all but the way she looks at and listens to him has made him feel comforting
He needs her, Tsireya is his only light
This night too, but thinking of calling her from here makes him feel a little... shame
“ She must think I’m so annoying,” he thought “ Reya might be asleep”
So he walked alone, by the shore, the ocean is ineffable this night, but Lo’ak seem careless of it
He gets to the reef and sat on it, this is where Teyam and he used to talk for hours
Lo’ak closes his eyes, memories of the amazing time that they used to spend with each other
He could be like this till the morning if he doesn't hear a small voice
“ Do you mind if I join?”
Reya... Lo’ak thought “ what is she doing here, at this time ?”
“Of course I don't “ he answered quickly
“Why are you here, I don't know that you get up this early “
“I have a nightmare, can't go back to sleep..”
“Ohh, poor you babe, what it's about?”
He asks, inching closer to her
“ Nothing important....ummm why are you here?”
‘ what can something be so scary to frighten my Reya’ Lo’ak think
“ Umm, the sea is too gorgeous tonight “ He answers, knowing that he just chose a random reason
“ He lies, “ Tsireya believe
“ Well, how are your feelings now”
‘ shit, she knows everything ‘
“ Ha, you got me, honey” he smiled “ pls, don’t look at me with that You-can-hide-me-nothing eyes”
“Oh shit babe” Lo’ak hug her tightly “ you're too cute”
They stay silent for a while, suddenly, he grabbed her hand
“ Can I tell you something, this is f*cking important so I have to ask you first ”
“Of course, you can tell me everything “ tsireya replies, surprised
“ you remember Teyam's death?”
“…..yes” oh he STILL struggling with that, she thought, giving a quit sign
“ Reya, dear, I think it’s my fault “
