Today I add POTS to my list with Raynaud's and Fibro. I've had a feeling that I did have it, but waiting for the doctor to decide that was a wait. Plus, pregnancy delayed it. I did, however, feel amazing during my twin pregnancy. I felt like a "normal" person with energy to do things. Which later I found out pregnant women who have POTS do feel "normal" when pregnant. A year after having the twins, my symptoms are coming back to the level they were at before pregnancy.
my body’s check engine light is on
That Fibro Life #13
Not being able to figure out your triggers. It’s so frustrating to be at your normal pain levels and everything is fine and then all the sudden for seemingly no reason at all its extreme pain and you feel like you can’t move. Why is it so hard to narrow down what is causing these flare ups?
O yeah.
I'm trying to workout again (after a good 7 months no working out) to lose some more weight, but I cannot go longer than 5 minutes on the elliptical without feeling like I'm about to die
My body tender spots have been extra tender lately. One of my kittens was walking on my side, and stepped on a tender spot on my left lower back side, and I about jumped a foot. This kitten isn't a year old and doesn't weigh a whole lot, but managed to hit the tender spot just right more than once. I tried to hold still, but I kept flinching. Finally I had to move him off my side even though he was giving me warmth
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to know that it’s not your fault you’re chronically ill.
People are constantly trying to tell you that you’re not trying hard enough, because you haven’t given exercise enough of a try, or you don’t drink enough water, or you don’t eat right, or you haven’t seen enough doctors or tried enough medications.
You have tried everything. You are still trying. But no matter how hard you try, it will never have been your fault. You are sick. Don’t forget that this is something that happened to you, not something you did wrong.
Fibromyalgia is wanting to get out of the house but fearing your strength won’t hold up to it.
Fibromyalgia is wanting to do something physical but then your legs turn to jelly and you can’t keep going.
Fibromyalgia is trying to wash the dishes but for some reason you can’t seem to keep your grip and everything comes crashing down out of your hands.
Fibromyalgia is wanting to do something quiet like art or writing but as soon as you start to focus on something you get dizzy and your eyes begin to feel like they’ve been sandblasted and you can’t keep them open anymore, and if you don’t lie down you think you’ll be sick.
Fibromyalgia is fever chills and night sweats and day sweats, even though there is no fever.
Fibromyalgia is finally starting to feel better and getting some momentum, only to get sick with something again, and then you stay sick. And you stay sick. And you stay sick. And you stay sick. Until the cycle repeats.
Fibromyalgia is always being tired but never being able to sleep.
Fibromyalgia is always sleeping but never feeling rested.
Fibromyalgia is not who I am, and yet… it is all I am.
Because I can’t remember who I was underneath the layers of exhaustion.
Fibromyalgia is like "huh my tattoo itches and where I bruised my toe hurts but what's really killing me is this random stretch on my inner arm that has never even been rammed on anything or seen the light of day before"
"I've been walking two miles and for some reason my elbows are the ones burning"
"I thought about getting up and my inner thigh decided to spasm"
I went bowling last evening with my fiance and some of his friends. I picked the lightest ball possible because I knew if I got one any heavier, I would have issues. Which made me mad. The ball I had to pick, the holes were almost too small for my fingers but I was able to make it work. I was doing great though. I almost fell after releasing the ball though. I bent my legs to roll the ball, and my legs suddenly wouldn't move when I tried to stand up. Thankfully I didn't fall, and I tried to play it off like nothing happened. Then halfway through the first game, my arm was going tired like I was rolling a 15 plus pound ball, when it was actually super light.
I played two games, and when I got home it took forever to get to sleep. Not because of the caffeine I had. It was because my shins were restless and burning. My arms were hurting. My back was stiff and sore. I felt like my body was pulsing/aching. I couldn't get comfortable at all without something hurting.
Can't sleep but also too tired to function✌️
