Is st5 perfect? No. It’s certainly got it’s flaws, I won’t deny that. But the amount of people who build their enjoyment of their show purely around shipping are insane. The point of the show isn’t Byler, Mileven, Jancy etc.

Shipping is supposed to be a fun fandom activity. It’s not supposed to be something we assure is canon. Just because Will and Mike didn’t get together doesn’t ruin the whole thing, because Stranger Things is more than just it’s ships.
