Wait, what are the parallels between She Who Thirsts and that lion creature of hunger and consumption?
Rogal Dorn just wanted to affirm his bro's gender ❤️
But... But.... But he didn't nut in his butt before calling him a slut!!

Where do you think the Sons of the Phoenix came from?
I love that the reason Crowe uses the Black Blade of Antwyr is just him being a petty bitch. He's not doing it because it helps keep it contained, he's not doing it to keep a closer eye on the sword so he doesn't share his predecessor's fate, he does it because it makes the sword mad, because it's going to make the rest of his life hell, so he might as well return the favor.
I love that for him.

Via Fiona Tribe: "Yes, Swiss scientist Fritz Zwicky coined the term 'dark matter' which is impressive, but he also coined the term 'spherical bastard' to describe people who are bastards no matter which way you look at them, and I think that should be celebrated more."
if you have "cishet men dni" in your bio i, a trans man, will not touch you with a 10 foot pole. i should not be forced to out myself as a trans man just to interact with you. on top of that, cishet men are not inherently evil. stop trying to reinvent bioessentialism with your "girl good, boy bad!" mentality.
DONT 1K NOTE ME IM A ONE DIRECTION FANBLOG 😭😭
Too late you're a queer discourse blog now
I am convinced that all Misogynists and Misandrists are Transphobic with no exception and I have yet to be proven wrong one time EVER.
It's not like there's much of a gap between any of them. Misogyny, misandry, and all forms of transphobia are deeply intertwined. They have some common core principles (foremost are "men are dangerous" and "women are nurturing"), with the main difference being where they take those principles.
The backlash against transhumanism always felt very strange to me since it seems to me like transhumanism is the logical end conclusion of medicine in general.
I agree completely, especially with regards to life extension but not limited to that.
I have even seen some posts that are like "transhumanism is evil what you actually want is access to healthcare and trans rights" and they are so close to getting it only to miss the point right at the end.
There isn't a neat separation between these things in the first place. Realistically a lot of life extension is going to involve solving or preventing the same diseases that are already ongoing projects in medicine, like dementia and heart disease.
Fighting disease and promoting health does not stop being a good thing when you're 100 years old. Bodily autonomy does not stop being a good thing when you want a big tail to go with your boobs.
Feels like they're making it a question of aesthetics or revealing fundamentally bioconservative worldviews they hold when they start trying to separate the two.
And just like how radical life extension and body modification are a logical conclusion for medicine, the logical conclusion of a consistent opposition to that is "It is morally imperative for everyone to get sick and die." Fiction writers are always coming up with ways to whitewash that sentiment to sound less sinister.
i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.
there seems to be a fundamental disagreement between microwave oven manufacturers and the producers of microwave meals over whether the customer should know the wattage of their microwave or if such details should be abstracted away from them
the microwave rice demands 800 watts of power for 2 minutes, but all the microwave can offer me three settings: one low, one high, and one somewhere in the middle. I turn it to the one in the middle as I happen to know 800W is the average power of most microwaves. the light comes on and the bag of rice starts slowly turning, but rather than hearing the usual rumble of the microwave, I instead start hearing short snippets of conversation - words snatched from the ether. the lights flicker and a chill runs up my spine. the voices remind me of those "spirit boxes" ghost hunters use. I double check the setting on the microwave. "ah," I say, remembering that I had set it to medium,
"everyone's a feminist until there's a spider around" as a commentary on radfeminism
If you identify as a feminist but fail to unlearn the sexist belief that women are incapable of protecting themselves against big threats & need men to protect them, you'll end up a radfem, usually a white supremacist & transphobic one.
i've never heard this one, but that's probably because i'm the woman catching the spiders in my hands or a cup and putting them outside.
I was thinking of a song from Bo Burnham's Inside that has this verse in it:
It's jokey but it does illustrate on a much smaller personal level how feminist women will sometimes impose toxic gendered expectations on men when they feel threatened & want men to protect them.
Yeah I've noticed that too! Or when something heavy needs to be carried. (And I don't mean that the physical ability falls along gender lines by coincidence)
Avoiding lifting things just because you think you're too weak is kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it does a lot of harm to women. Especially as they age. Of course you won't be able to lift much if you always avoid lifting things. Muscles atrophy if you don't use them.
I've been hearing more women talk about strength training for health which is nice, but many still avoid it — and to maintain their perception of themselves as a strong independent feminist woman, they just reason themselves into the position that actually men carrying things for women is feminist because they're #supportingwomen
