Pearl Pearl Pearl! Unintentionally getting really attached to dumb characters I made up. That or I just love assholes.

Anyway I made a blog for her. @pearlsfect

       this was extremely  humiliating    (   not that she was supposed to feel humiliated by anything a gem did to her ,    she was supposed to smile and take it ,    supposed to just bow her head and say thanks .  )   and she felt it heat up her cheeks ,   betraying her anger ,    the emotions swirling inside her gut .

       not that the expression on her face wouldn’t ,   as it contorts into a mask of rage ,    only to be slightly cracked by the pain her wrist .    snarling at the taller one in pure self defense .    what Chrysoberyl did not know though ,    was the lengths nevi would take to keep herself intact ,    she’s learned to not GET INTO THESE SITUATIONS .    or ,    how to get put of them . 

      “ I’d like to see you fucking try . ‘   she hisses before snapping open a blade she had stashed away on her belt ,  (  having to carry such things just in case )  and slashes through the hand trapped in the others grip . 

        the pain hits instant ,    but Nevi cannot let that poof her ,   she was stronger than that ,    she had to be . 

    There was something oh so sad, yet intriguing about this Pearl in particular.  Even now, trapped by the hands of someone so far above her the struggle continued.  An absolute clenched rage spew out of this one.  Any other Pearl   would have given up by now, not that a Pearl should ever be in a situation like this.  Then again, Chrysoberyl has seen it before, but never like this. 

    ‘  You, stop tha-- ’    She commented on the other’s change in movement but before her sentence could even finish a huge weight already released itself from her grasp. All that was left in her hand now was the remainder of that what the other decided to cut off. Poofing and disappearing into thin air as soon as Chrysoberyl locked her eyes with it.  Dumbfounded.     Now the Pearl was on the floor, still in tact somehow and Chrysoberyl couldn’t begin to imagine what kind of will  &  self-control it would take her to stay that way but she did. At this point it would almost be adding insult to injury to chance the poor soul even further and for a second she was contemplating the decision.        Pulling that kind of trick should free any Gem of their charges.           But Chrysoberyl couldn’t let that happen. That Pearl would die if she did.  Especially out there.

     ‘ Perhaps... ’    She replied, tapping the soil with her feet, watching the sand slide alongside with it as well as the wind scattering everything with.   She wasn’t bored with it as much as she was simply observing.   Homeworld was nothing like this.   There everything was more mechanical, everything suiting nicely into place.  But she isn’t on Homeworld anymore.

         ‘ So.. tell me.    What do you do here ? ’

      “  but did you inquire from me first ,    whether or not I would be attending ?? “      she  knew  Chrysoberyl  was  one  to  talk  back ,    but  there  were  limitations  even  to  her  patience  when  it  came  to  pure  insolence .    the  other  had  started  to  sound  like  a  whiny  gemlin ,    like  how  PINK  used  to  talk  back  before  White  knew  to  put  an  end  to  it .  

       “ If you cannot have your galas without me as someone to bring gems in then I’m not sure you are FIT for your POSITION . ”

   ‘ My galas were fine as they should be.  It is  you  who decided not to show up.  Don’t think I am not aware of your presence, White.   Your eyes are everywhere.   You should’ve known. ’     She snapped without hesitation,  just like White she wouldn’t let herself be talked down on in such a tone.  Not even by a Diamond, especially not the one that has been here as   long   as she was.             ‘ So tell me My Diamond, what IS my position ? ’

       she  does  not  answer  instantly ,    choosing  for  the  comfortable  silence  to  rest  atop  of  them  once  more ,    left  thinking  for  a  second  longer .    “ oh none of this is for my benefit ,    in the end of the day you know why it’s there. “   

   ‘ Alright then, let me put it a different way.. ’   She says, shifting into a position closer forward.  Not that it was going to make a difference, but it felt like it did.    ‘ I will not be left a  fool,  White.   Especially not in front of my audience.   You were supposed to be there and you weren’t.   I cannot please a  crowd  without their grand attraction.  ’

    ‘ Now that isn’t a common request.  Especially not from the likes of a  Pearl,   but how can I   deny   something so generous ? ’   She said, reaching out her hand for the other to take.   Dancing was kind of her passion after all, and  status  wouldn’t come between that.  Not for now at least.

   ‘ A Quartz soldier ?  And from Yellow Diamond’s court no less.  Now that has to be quite a story. ’    Whatever her plan was, it has already been thrown out the  window.  Stopping by to chat with a quartz, what a  joke.   Not that she minded, she liked knowing the ones around her.

   ‘ The Earth may seem  great  to many but it is nothing for me. ’      Sounds like a lot coming from someone who  desperately  ached for a change of phase.  But here she stands, unmoved and disinterested.  There has to be something better than this.
