Felt like I had to make a new intro post as the old one was kinda outdated. Anyway let's get to it!
Hi there peeps I'm your local dumb lesbian that goes by China or Zana (pronounced Zay-nuh). Doesn't matter which alias you wanna use for me, I have no preference with that.
This blog is all about me writing stuff for the many fandoms I'm in! Though as you can see I tend to prioritize Aphmau related content on this account (mostly Dante though lol-) so yeah I'm mainly an Aphmau blog. But I do have other fandoms I like to occasionally post about when Dante nolastname isn't holding me hostage. I won't make a big list of them as I honestly bounce around to different fandoms like crazy lmao but other than Aphmau I also tend to prioritize things like Danganronpa and TBHK. Though you will definitely see other interests of mine pop up here and there.
I don't bother creating a strict DNI list because all I need to say is that if you're an bigoted awful human being then get the hell off my page, don't even bother interacting at all cuz you WILL be blocked.
That's all I really have to say about me so I hope you enjoy my silly little ramblings on this silly little blog of mine :3
I'm bored so here's a low effort meme I made of Dante and Aphmau based on an actual interaction I had with one of my friends because I thought it fit their vibe (at least how I view their dynamic lol)
They are so siblings to me no matter the universe you can't tell me otherwise
Reblogging this cuz this has been a passion project of mine that I've been working on for so long! Not sure if anyone that looks at my blog is into Fanganronpa stuff but if you are then check it out! Also yes this does include Aphverse too so even if you aren't into Danganronpa there's uh that too (and several other fandoms as well lol). Fellow Dante fans you will eat good with this one I swear!
Just to preface even though playing Danganronpa won't be fully necessary to read my Fangan, just be warned that there will still be spoilers for the Danganronpa series. So if you want to avoid that then be aware of that.
Shatter My Trust (Ever After High X Aphverse One-shot)
───✯💜💙✯───
In an alternate universe, Irene takes a different approach to dealing with the problems she faces. She decides a redo of this tale is in order so she creates the Storybook of Legends and has it set that the next generation must sign the book and follow in their parents' footsteps. Aphmau, headmistress of Phoenix Drop High where this next generation will prepare to take on their parents' mantle, ensures that Irene's will is fulfilled. But not everyone is keen on following destiny, especially Donatello "Donnie" Ramirez who is fated to follow his uncle Dante's footsteps. It's been said that following destiny is the only way and that refusing will have dire consequences but is that really true? Donnie isn't so sure and yearns to know if there could be more to his life than a future of angst and solitude.
Or; an Ever After High AU where the Mystreet cast are the children of the MCD cast and have to follow their parents' destinies.
To differentiate between both casts, I made this list of the names that will be used for the Mystreet characters (it also has my reasoning for why I chose these names as a bonus!). Refer to this to help avoid any confusion.

Summary: Donnie doesn't know how to handle his father, Gene, being released from the Nether mirror. It only gets worse when he finds out how it happened in the first place.
Nothing even felt real right now. The events of the past few days just didn't make any sense to Donnie. Everything had been normal, not exactly perfect but it was still how things usually were. Something Donnie could handle and accept. But everything had taken a turn when the impossible happened. Something that Donnie had feared because he knew he wouldn't know how to cope with it.
Gene had escaped.
When Donnie and his older brother Genie were younger (11 and 12 respectively), their father had done the unthinkable. Gene had attempted to steal the Storybook of Legends from Headmistress Aphmau's office. No one was quite sure what his intentions were by doing that but surely it wasn't for anything good. He was once Shad's most loyal Shadow Knight, general of Shad's army. It was only natural for everyone to assume that Gene was up to something nefarious. And he ended up paying the price for attempting such an evil deed.
The story went that the Storybook of Legends was able to detect that something was wrong. The magicks it held reacted in "self-defense" of sorts and released a spell on Gene. The spell in question trapped the Shadow Knight in a mirror that internally bore resemblance to the Nether. It wasn't the actual Nether though, just a much smaller prison that looked like it. Gene had been cursed to stay forever trapped in that Nether mirror, only being able to view the world around him through the other mirrors on Phoenix Drop High's campus. Headmistress Aphmau kept the mirror in a tower part of Phoenix Drop High's structure, ensuring it was well guarded at all times.
Donnie and Genie always had a more complicated relationship with their father but that incident was what truly caused that tension to grow between the father and his sons. At the time, Donnie was sad, absolutely grief-stricken about what happened to Gene. He recalled crying for practically three days straight after the incident. One couldn't blame him for it, Gene was the only parent Donnie and his brother had. Sure, Laurance had always been there to help Gene with the boys and he continued to step up by taking Donnie and Genie in after everything that happened. Donnie appreciated it, he truly did, but he wanted his dad back more than anything. He was just a child, he didn't understand the kind of person his father could be. All he knew was the loving father that read him bedtime stories at night, taught him how to craft with all sorts of objects and hugged him in comfort as Donnie cried from scrapping his knee badly. That's the Gene that Donnie had known, not the monster that everyone else saw.
But Donnie knew better now. He knew about all of the terrible things his father did. He knew about the trauma his dad inflicted on his poor late uncle. He knew all about the evil things Gene did to please Shad. He learned why people feared his dad like he was some boogeyman and he couldn't blame them. It was hard to accept the fact that his father could have such a side to him. How could someone be so caring, so loving yet do such horrible things? It had always been a confusing thing for Donnie to accept. Was he wrong to love someone who could participate in these evil acts? It made him feel guilty sometimes so he tried his hardest to disregard his father, to view him the way everyone else did.
That was hard though and it became even harder when Gene had somehow escaped the Nether mirror prison. No one knew how something like that was possible. Even Headmistress Aphmau was perplexed about how that occurred. Gene had escaped though and nothing could be done about it at the moment. The headmistress had not a clue about how to return Gene to the mirror as it was apparently the book's magicks that did it. And the magicks of the Storybook of Legends was one that remained a complete mystery to most. Another relic left behind by Irene that had so little known about it.
So for the time being, Gene had no choice but to be left to roam about. Not without a strict probation of course. He was banned from leaving the grounds of Phoenix Drop High and someone had to be by his side at all times. And he was most certainly not allowed anywhere near Headmistress Aphmau's office and the Storybook of Legends. Donnie and Genie were left with the complex feelings of their father returning from his prison. The brothers were the only other ones aside from the headmistress herself that were allowed to visit Gene's mirror. Neither brother visited often, both feeling uncomfortable about the whole situation. But now they had no choice, their father was released and they had to see him everyday.
It didn't go well initially. Gene once again tried to interact with his sons but it had completely blown up in his face. While Donnie stayed silent out of unease, Genie had reacted more aggressively. A rarity as the black haired teen was usually quite calm. A predicament like this though was one where Genie couldn't help but let his emotions get to him. He had always been the one that felt more anger about the situation in comparison to Donnie.
"You're insane, old man if you think you can just come up to us as if nothing happened!"
Donnie had stood there, unsure of what to even do as Genie snarled those words out at their father. The blue haired teen could see just how pissed off his older brother was. Genie's fangs were bared, his eyes had a small red tint to them and red particles formed around him. A usual thing that occurred whenever a Shadow Knight's child was especially angry and aggressive. Donnie himself had gotten that way plenty of times, moreso than Genie actually. Shadow Knight children were trained to deal with their emotions better because of how they affect the traits they received from their parents. Genie got that training but not Donnie despite the fact that he was Gene's other son. It was simply because his destiny was to follow Dante's footsteps, not Gene's. It was assumed that somehow those Shadow Knight traits wouldn't be as prevalent because of what his destiny entailed. Donnie didn't think it made any sense but he wasn't in charge of those decisions, unfortunately.
"Genie... I'm not trying to start a fight here. I just wanna talk with you and Donnie."
Despite his son's anger, Gene had been oddly calm. He even raised his hands up, a placating gesture as a way to try and ease the ever growing tension that was brewing. It failed however as Genie only grew more frustrated.
"Yeah fuck that, that ain't happening. I won't be talking to some deadbeat that cared more about power than his own kids. Can't speak for what Donnie wants to do but I'm out."
Without another word, Genie stomped out of the room they were in and slammed the door behind him. Donnie watched carefully as his brother left, feeling more awkward than ever now. What was he supposed to say? He hadn't uttered a word this entire time and felt a tad more anxious now that it was just him and his dad. Donnie fidgeted with his hands, staring at his father in a cautious way as he wracked his brain on what to even do.
"Oh come on mijo, don't look at me like that. I'm not gonna bite you or anything." Gene had chuckled, smiling in a way that was warm. Something Donnie was so familiar with.
He wished he could trust those words, that smile, but it wasn't that simple. Not after everything. Irene... why did everything have to be so complex? Why couldn't everything be easy for him to deal with?
"Do you still love me and Genie?"
Donnie himself wasn't sure why he blurted that out. But it was the only thing that could come to mind on what to say. And it was quick to throw Gene completely off guard, his eyes widening as big as saucers after that.
"Wh- of course I do! You two mean absolutely everything to me, no matter what anyone else says-"
"Then why did you do that? Why did you leave us behind?" Donnie cut his father off. The hurt in his tone of voice was becoming more apparent, his words sounding more like a plea than just a simple question. "Was trying to steal that stupid book really worth it? What were you even trying to do huh?"
Gene was left stunned again, reeling himself before letting out a deep sigh, "I know how it all looks Donnie but please, you have to listen to me here. I didn't do that for the reason you might think and what really happened isn't being told-"
"Why should I believe you?"
Donnie had cut Gene off again. The Shadow Knight stumbled, trying to come up with something to say. And Donnie secretly hoped that his father would find those words to prove Donnie wrong. He didn't want to feel these complex emotions anymore when it came to his dad. But Gene struggled to find them and Donnie grew disappointed. Donnie sighed himself now, turning his back on Gene as he approached the door.
"I really do wanna believe you dad, I do. But I just... I just don't know if I can right now. I don't think you understand how much you've hurt me and Genie."
Donnie could feel his dad's eyes glued to his back. He could practically feel how sad and dejected that stare was and it took everything in him he had to not turn around. He willed himself to open the door and walk out of the room, with everything remaining unresolved between the two of them. Donnie couldn't take it right now, he had a lot he needed to think about and being around his father wasn't going to help with that.
After that whole ordeal, Donnie found himself in the school's courtyard. He stared up at the sky, his mind feeling faraway as he mindlessly gazed at the clouds. He was seeping further and further into his thoughts until-
"Hiya Dontron!"
The sudden voice was quick to snap Donnie out of it. He yelped, startled enough that he almost fell off the bench he was sitting on. Giggling was heard as he did this and his blue eyes frantically looked around until they locked on to the person in question.
"Auroraaa..." Donnie groaned, semi-glaring at the girl in front of him. "Don't scare me like that."
The black haired teen just laughed before plopping right next to Donnie on the bench.
"Sorry hehe... I didn't think that would throw you off guard so much." Aurora continued to laugh, which only earned her a disgruntled huff from her friend. She jokingly swatted at Donnie's shoulder before tilting her head at him in curiosity. "Are you alright though? You looked like you were deep in thought about something."
Donnie stared at her for a few seconds before he sighed and looked away, "It's just, ya know, my dad. It's weird to think he's out and about now and I... well frankly I have no idea how to deal with it."
Aurora appeared to shift uncomfortably in her seat, her smile becoming a little more strained. Though all of that went unnoticed by Donnie (which was a relief in her eyes).
"O-oh... yeah I can uh see why that might be difficult to handle."
"Understatement of the year..."
"Yeah well... don't you think you're being too harsh on your dad though?"
Donnie turned back to stare at Aurora. He didn't quite believe that she actually just said that. He thought maybe it was some dumb joke but analyzing her facial expression told a different story. She was dead serious.
"Are you- are you even hearing yourself right now? My dad is the one that chose to do something that screwed up our family. Not me, not Genie, him."
Donnie was getting a little frustrated now. He didn't like how Aurora said that, as if she was trying to take his father's side in all this. Which was odd as she had no reason to do that in the first place.
"Hey chill, I'm not trying to say that it's you or Genie that's at fault. I'm just saying... maybe you need to hear your dad out a little more? It's like you don't even care to understand his side of the story."
"Don't put words in my mouth." Donnie grumbled, his frustration growing. Aurora could already see the small red tint glaze over his pupils, it made her shift uncomfortably again. "I never said I didn't care or anything but it has been a lot to deal with. Having my father trapped in a mirror when I was 11 was rough enough as is but learning why that occurred was even worse. Your mom is a lord, a reincarnation of a goddess, the hero of the story. I had to find out my dad was an evil monster that parents warned their children about. You don't get it."
For a second, Aurora was in shock, initially unable to say anything in response. At first Donnie felt bad, already beginning to beat himself up over once more not being able to control his Shadow Knight traits. But suddenly, Aurora stood up and pointed a finger in Donnie's face, confusing him immediately.
"Why can't you give your father another chance? You're all about changing your destiny, why shouldn't he be able to do the same?"
Aurora was getting frustrated now too, something that seriously perplexed Donnie. He briefly thought that maybe this had to do with the two's opposing views on destiny as she did just mention it. Aurora agreed with her mother wholeheartedly, that everyone needed to follow in their parents' footsteps. But Donnie didn't hold the same opinion. He believed that everyone should get to write their own story, to choose how they want their destiny go. It caused a lot of tension between Aurora and Donnie's friendship (as well as his friendships with others). But at the end of the day, the two were still close. Which only made Donnie more confused as why Aurora seemed so mad with him right now. He couldn't even ask as she continued to rant.
"I mean your dad literally broke out of that Nether mirror prison and walked across broken glass just to be with you and your brother! Don't you see how much he cares for you guys?!"
While shocking, Aurora's sudden change of mood wasn't enough to completely distract Donnie from that slip up. He stared at her, his gaze becoming more serious, more dark.
"How could you know that was what happened? No one was there when my dad broke out of the mirror."
Aurora's bravado disappeared in an instance, now shying away from Donnie. She couldn't even look at him, seeming ashamed about something. And then it all clicked in his head.
"It was you?" Donnie shot up from his seat like a rocket, his frustration boiling over now. The red tint in his eyes became more apparent and the red particles took form as well. It was a clear sign to Aurora how bad a turn this was taking. "You released my father?!"
Aurora flinched, watching as Donnie's anger take hold of him. Donnie was always scary when he got angry like this. He was more unstable than the other Shadow Knight children. It's why people steered clear of him sometimes, why even his own friends walked on eggshells around him. It hurt and he hated being viewed like that, like he was some monster to be feared. He disliked how it made him feel like his father. The way Aurora was staring at him now, fearful, hurt him just like it did all those other times with all those other people. It fed into his frustration too, only making him feel worse.
"I didn't... I didn't mean for that to happen, okay?" Aurora still couldn't fully look Donnie in the eye. Whether it was because of fear or shame (maybe both), Donnie wasn't exactly sure. Regardless, he didn't like either option. "I don't know how to explain everything because of how weird it was but yes it was my fault. But it doesn't have to be all bad! Because Gene promised me my happily ever after but not just for me, for you too, for all of us."
Was that was what this was all about? Donnie had thought they finally came to an understanding about this, that they could agree to disagree but still respect each other's choices (and maybe just accept the tension that would always linger around that topic). That didn't seem to be the case anymore. Aurora couldn't let go her idea of following her destiny to a T, to be exactly like her mom. And she still wanted others to follow that too because how else could she possibly get her "happily ever after" if the other characters didn't play along?
"You're naive if you think my father can give you the happily ever after you want. And you're especially naive if you think he can do that for me too. Heck he couldn't even get a happy ending for himself."
"But maybe things can really be different Donnie. Maybe-"
"Just stop." Donnie's stare on Aurora turned harsh. For a split second, his fangs were bared which only added to how intimidating he had become. "I don't wanna hear anymore excuses for this. You released my father from the Nether mirror and that's enough for me. I don't wanna talk to you anymore so just go. Now."
Aurora tried to come up with something to say but her brain wouldn't cooperate. Because she knew no amount of apologizing could salvage this in the slightest. And it was always a risky move to keep egging on Donnie when he was already pissed off. So with her shoulders slumped in defeat, she solemnly nodded her head and walked away from Donnie. He watched her intently as she left, plopping back down onto the bench when she was finally out of sight.
It only took a matter of seconds for the fury to leave Donnie's body. The tint in his eyes and particles fading away like they were never there in the first place. But seconds later, tears started welling up in Donnie's eyes as he curled in on himself. It was almost second nature for Donnie to start crying right after being angry. Like some sort of chain reaction that couldn't be stopped. Maybe it was out of guilt for how he got when frustrated or a culmination of all the stressors in his life. Either way, the teenage boy cried, letting the turmoil he's held back spill out in the form of tears.
More MCD OC brain rot is upon me. So I'm gonna yap about the Mystreet version of my OC Lavender because why not. She definitely goes through less horrors than her MCD counterpart lol.
Lavender and Dante are the sibling duo ever they're very close and have each other's back fr. Lavender and Gene aren't nearly as close because of all the issues Gene had going on in highschool. In my rewrite/AU Gene and Dante's relationship is different and much more complicated and tense. I wanted things in Mystreet to still kind of mirror how things are between them in MCD even if it isn't the exact same. Anyway, Gene stops talking to Dante for a long while and ends up doing the same with Lavender. Gene doesn't talk to his siblings until S2 and it's awkward to say the least.
Anyway, Lavender and Dante are so silly and love to annoy each other on the daily. Like sometimes Maria will ask Dante to drop Lavender off at school or pick her up and he will absolutely take any opportunity to embarrass her in front of her friends. Ya know that one Into the Spiderverse scene where Miles' dad jokingly pesters him to say "I love you dad" out loud? Yeah Dante does something like that with Lavender and it makes her very tempted to chuck a snowball at his face. Honestly she probably has done that at some point and then Dante threatens to tell Maria. And then Lavender chucks another snowball at his face. It's pretty much a neverending cycle.
Because of the big age gap between Dante and Lavender, Dante would probably be the one that mostly babysat Lavender while Maria was working. He pretty much did everything for Lavender like get her ready for school, cook for her and make sure she did her homework. It's kind of a cycle where the older siblings take care of the younger ones because of Maria working so much. Maria's not a bad mom by any means as she was a single mother trying her best for her kids but it makes sense why Lavender is attached to Dante more than Maria. It kind of gives Maria some conflicting emotions but she doesn't ever bring it up as she doesn't want to unintentionally cause any problems. Anyway, this would make at least a few members of the gang familiar with Lavender already since she seems to be by Dante's side a lot. Lavender is already 17 in S1 so she obviously doesn't need to be babysat anymore but she still likes to hang out with Dante when she doesn't have anything else to do. She likes trying to annoy him and embarrass him in front of his friends lol.
Gene and Lavender begin to bond a bit in S3. I feel like Lavender doesn't really know Gene that well despite them being siblings. Like he really didn't bother much with her while he was in highschool because he was a jerk. Then he didn't talk to his family in general for a long time so Gene has always felt like a distant part of Lavender's memory. So she is curious about him and doesn't mind trying to bond with him more in S3. She has no idea what Gene was like in highschool so she doesn't understand why anyone would have any issues with him because this is the only side of Gene she knows. And no one really has the heart to tell her about Gene's past because she seems so happy being able to be close with both of her brothers now.
Lavender has a biological older half-sister named Sage. Sage and Lavender share the same father (Jack) and was from their father's first marriage specifically. Although Lavender's bio parents were never married when they had her. Sage is around Gene's age but she never went to Phoenix Drop High and does not know anybody from the main gang (at least not initially). Lavender has no knowledge of having any siblings outside of Dante and Gene but Sage knows of Lavender. Sage met Lavender a few times when Jack was still present in Lavender's life. He left when Lavender was about two years old and soon after that, Lavender's biological mother, Amy, had Lavender taken from her. So Sage hadn't seen her half-sister since then and didn't generally think about it too much as she had other stuff going on in her life.
In S2 she moves into the neighborhood that the gang will move into in S3. And then in S3 she puts together that Lavender was her long lost half-sister and learns that Lavender was adopted into another family. She doesn't say anything about being Lavender's biological sister and grows jealous of Dante and Gene as they actually got to be in Lavender's life and be good older siblings to her. However, Sage refuses to say anything about being related to Lavender as she believes she'll be disrupting her sister's life by doing that and she doesn't want to do that despite the jealousy she feels towards Dante and Gene. She's actually grateful towards them too, especially Dante as she learns how much he took care of Lavender when they were younger.
Okie that's all I got now cuz I still need to properly watch seasons 4-6 if I want to integrate Lavender more in Mystreet. Though she's probably just vibing the whole time and mostly unaware of stuff. Idk we'll see after I actually watch stuff properly lol. Side note though, I now also want to make an Alternates version of Lavender too. Still have to brainstorm with that one cuz I haven't thought about it too much yet.
Posting this because I'm trying to get rid of old drafts I've had sitting around for like forever because I forgot about them lowkey. Kinda cooked with this one though perchance.
I think my favorite MCD Dante headcanon that the fandom has come up with is that Dante was like much younger than a lot of the main cast because of the fact that he was fresh out of the guard academy when he first appeared. I love it so much because the idea that Dante is just some teenager that Garroth and Laurance pretty much adopt and take in as their brother (maybe even son-) is just so amazing to me I can't. But now imagine that sort of thing in Mystreet that would be very funny I think.
I'm specifically just thinking about a 18-19 year old Dante who's still getting used to school but decides that he doesn't want to live at home anymore so he tries to move out. He finds like this ad online for these guys that need another roommate for the place they live on in some street literally called Mystreet. Turns out they need another roommate because even though there's three of them already living there, they still want another roommate for whatever reason (idk man just go with it). So he takes these guys up on their offer and moves in with them. Maria definitely cries about her baby boy growing up once Dante gets ready to move out. So now he lives with Garroth, Laurance and Travis and it's like this new normal that he has to get used to. And I think the dynamic would be even funnier if Dante was like his MCD self so more reserved and quiet. Now imagine reserved 18-19 year old Dante living with the ever eccentric and goofy trio that is Garroth, Laurance and Travis. It's very silly if you think about it like that.
Laurance would try (and fail) to try and teach Dante how to flirt so that Dante could try to flirt with the girls at his college. Dante does not trust Laurance's ass for a damn second so he straight up lies to Laurance's face that he'll definitely use the brunette's advice. Laurance also tries to teach Dante how to cook though so it's not all bad advice lol. It would be funny if Garroth had lowkey dad vibes and tried to convince Dante to watch anything sport related on TV. Idk why but that just feels right to me. And then there's Travis who also attempts to teach Dante how to flirt but Dante doesn't trust Travis' ass either as he witnesses firsthand Travis' failure to woo Katelyn. Travis is probably the worst influence for Dante because Travis encourages Dante to do really silly things (like arson perchance). Dante is in a constant state of concern whenever he hangs out with Travis one on one because Travis is a chaos gremlin and Dante hasn't known Travis long enough at that point to understand how to deal with him. It surprises the rest of the MS gang when they realize that Dante is somehow the most mature member of the boy's house despite still technically being a teenager lmao.
Though no one is surprised when Garroth, Laurance and Travis start treating Dante like he's their little brother or even son. There's absolutely a running inside joke with the whole Mystreet gang that Dante has three dads lol. I even feel like there would even be a time when the boys would be playing Monopoly and at some point during the game Travis yells at Laurance that he's taking Dante in the divorce after Laurance makes Travis go bankrupt 💀 Queue Garroth legit crying with laughter while Dante is genuinely confused about what's going on (and also somehow winning the game). Because Dante would actually be the youngest member of the MS gang, the rest of the gang would also spontaneously adopt him as like their brother/son/nephew etc. Homeboy got himself a whole ass new family without really meaning to lol.
Also I think in this hypothetical version of Mystreet that it would be very silly and goofy if nobody part of the gang realized that Dante was related to Gene. Because I mean it would make sense because there would be decently sized age gap between Gene and Dante so obviously Dante wouldn't have gone to highschool at the same time as everyone else. And like I think Gene's friends would legit be the only ones that know who Dante is. Though if we're going to go down the route of Laurance being Gene's ex then I think it would be infinitely funnier if Laurance met Dante when Laurance was a teenager but then completely forgot about Dante only to have Dante as a roommate years later. Laurance would absolutely lose his shit I think but honestly the whole gang would lose their shit really. Because Dante to them is this nice reserved kid and then he ends up being related to Gene who is like satan in their eyes. I think it would be funny if the gang found this out through Dante just making fun of his older brother by saying that having your highschool wannabe mean girl group be named "Shadow Knights" was the dumbest and edgiest thing ever. Poor kid did not understand why everyone was giving him such flabbergasted looks after saying that lmao.
I feel like in this hypothetical AU Gene and Dante don't have a completely bad relationship but I don't think it would be all good. It's moreso that they grew distant over time because of the big age gap between them. Like once Gene graduated highschool he kind of stopped talking to his mom so that also means he kind of stops talking to Dante for a bit too. But they do reconnect again in S2 and start to slowly becoming closer though it is very awkward initially.
This is totally not me projecting or anything but consider Dante going to school for phlebotomy. I've seen many headcanons of Dante being some type of medical related major in college so this is my own take on that. Although his phlebotomy wasn't like a multiple year type of thing. It's a roughly three-ish month course that he took and got his certificate in. And he eventually just got a phlebotomist job and was now able to chip in even more for the rent. Btw this is all based on my own experience of getting my phlebotomy certificate and is not me saying this is the only way to get it. This is just how I did it and now I'm projecting that on Dante because he's just like me fr. Also I wanted an excuse to yap a little about phlebotomy stuff cuz I am nerd.
Okie that's all I have actually cuz I genuinely don't know what else to put lol
Hi everyone! This is a The Outsiders Musical and Aphmau crossover!! This was brought to my mind by @chxna-cheeseycake!!!
I'm trying to figure out characters fully, but I do know two for sure! The ones I really need are Dallas, Sodapop, Johnny, Steve, Two-Bit, Cherry and the rest of the SOCs!! If you have ideas, PLEASE let me know!! Below the keep reading is the story in general, but I'm going to put the character list here firstly!!
Guys. You know what would be a really angsty funny idea? Gene and Dante but they have the Darry and Ponyboy Curtis dynamic. Yes this idea is absolutely the result of me having seen the Outsiders musical with my mom, aunt and younger cousin while permanently having Chronic Dante Syndrome. Shush.
But just imagine it though. The angst of a barely adult Gene trying to figure out how to navigate both being a brother and parent to his teenage brother. And that's on top of both of them trying to cope with the loss of their parents. Do you guys get it. Do you see the vision.
I would add more but I genuinely don't know what else to say cuz brain not worky rn. I just wanted an excuse to post something on here cuz it's been too long since I ranted about my stupid blorbos lol.
So I am huge Ninjago fan (haven't watched Dragon's Rising yet tho so no spoilers plss) so therefore I will now be headcanoning my favorite Aphverse characters as liking Ninjago because fuck you I do what I want :3
Dante 100% was into Ninjago and actually still likes it to this day (yes I am projecting here). Has a pretty big collection of the show's Lego sets, so much so that his shelves compromise mostly of said sets. Will not hesitate to bite you if you touch his sets without express permission (this is also me projecting). Isn't embarrassed that this interest of his is "childish" and would gladly talk about the series with anyone that's willing to listen. Has absolutely sat Garroth, Laurance and Travis down and went into an in-depth explanation about Ninjago lore with a Google Slides presentation at the ready. Ninjago lore is honestly almost as wild and complicated as FNAF lore at this point ;-; His favorite characters would probably be either Jay or Kai idk those two's spunky and energetic personalities just kinda fit him. Also Kai is the red ninja and Jay is the blue ninja so they also fit perfectly with his color scheme :)
Gene watched a good portion of the show but only because Dante made him. He doesn't hate it by any means but he thinks it's just a bit too childish and silly for him. But would literally rather die than say that to Dante as he doesn't want to hurt his brother's feelings. Listens to whatever rant Dante makes about the series but doesn't understand anything that goes on and gets more confused as he hears more about the lore of Ninjago. He's almost kinda like a parent when it comes to their child's interest. Like he just goes "That's nice kiddo" and never understands a single thing Dante says about Ninjago ever. Will still be shopping at like Walmart or something and see a Ninjago Lego set and be like "I bet Dante would like that" then proceeds to buy it for his bro. If he did have to pick a favorite character it would probably be Garmadon cuz he thinks the four arm design is cool and just likes villain characters in general.
Travis is into Ninjago because Dante introduced him to it but he's more of a casual fan. Likes the series and thinks it's a good fun watch but doesn't get as into it as Dante. Occasionally watches it on his own but most of the time he watches it whenever Dante is watching it. Not into collecting the sets because he gets too frustrated with the building of the Legos and feels like it's just not worth it. Knows some lore of the show but then forgets other parts which prompts Dante to go into another one of his extensive rants about the series. His hot take is that the later seasons are better than the earlier seasons. Either Jay or Lloyd would be his favorite character. Jay because he's a silly and slightly unhinged little shit just like Travis. And Lloyd because he highkey relates with Lloyd's character (both are half human half demon thingy with major daddy issues. Also they're green and had a romantic relationship that went bad at some point).
Zane is into Ninjago too. Heard about it a bunch but never bothered with it as he preferred to stick to his MLP shit. Caved in and decided to finally watch it once the Ninjago movie came out because he thought it looked funny and dumb yet interesting. Actually watched the movie before watching the show. Because of that he was really confused while watching the show because he didn't realize that the movie and show were two separate canons. Still liked the show a lot regardless and soon began collecting Lego sets from the series, his main priority is still his ponies though. Is embarrassed to tell anyone about this interest as well so ofc Aphmau is the only one to know. Somehow had no idea that Dante was a mega Ninjago fan and oh boy once Dante knew Zane liked Ninjago it was Joever for the emo shit. Zane was now Dante's bestie and Zane didn't have a choice in the matter. They totally binge-watched both Ninjago and MLP together during Love~Love Paradise whenever Zane didn't feel like leaving their room (which was a lot). One of his faves is def movie Garmadon cuz how of camp cartoony villain he is. Also likes Zane not just cuz they have the same name but also cuz Zane just thinks he's cool (no pun intended lol). Yes I am a huge fan of Zane and Dante being friends and also really ship Zante a lot if you couldn't already tell.
Actually Idk what else to put here so that's what you get lol. Also I have no idea why I haven't posted this until now since it's been sitting in my drafts completely done and tagged properly for like a long while now. I guess I just forgot that this existed oof-
I'm so bad about consistent posting but anyway the urge to yap even more about my MCD OCs again... it is taking over once more. I have like four drafts that I should probably finish but nah. This shit is more important for real. Hell yeah to MCD OC posting again because I think we as a society all need to collectively yap about our OCs more.
So I will be talking more about my MCD OC, Lavender. I talked a bit about her already so if you want maybe look at the post before this one on my account to get a bit more context. Anyway, let's actually get to my blabbing now. It will be under the cut cuz damn I can't help but write so much about my MCD OC lore lol.
Lavender was only two years old during S1 of MCD. Very itsy bitsy during that time for reals. I've already said before that she was adopted by Maria at this time. But before Lavender was quite literally dropped off at Maria's doorstep in Boboros, Lavender was born and lived for those two years of her life in a village in a snowy area (I don't have a name for this village yet cuz I am not great at naming places lol). Lavender also happened to be the youngest daughter of the lord of this village who was named Jack. Lavender's bio mom, Amy, was already out of the picture by the time Lavender was two. Nobody knows where Amy is, she just kind of dipped and was never seen again. So Jack was left to raise both of his daughters on his own. Jack had an older daughter named Sage that was from his first marriage (though he never married Amy). Sage is ten years older than Lavender.
Jack also had ice/snow based magicks that Lavender inherited from him. Sage on the other hand does not have any magicks whatsoever. This did kind of make Sage jealous that Lavender seemed more like Jack and thus had more of a connection to him. Lavender also looks almost exactly like Jack while Sage looks a lot like her mom. But Lavender's magicks also puts her in danger. Ya know how Glenda tried to sacrifice Cadenza to open up a Nether portal because of the dormant magicks Cadenza had? Well that was something that sort of happened to Lavender too. My Shadow Knight OC, Eliza (who I'll talk more about one day...), came to Lavender's village to kidnap her for reasons like Glenda. Eliza is very brutal too and doesn't hesitate to kill anyone that gets in her way, including innocent civilians.
Jack, being a good lord, stays in his village and fights to the very end to give a chance for his people to try and escape. He also orders two of his most loyal guards to take his daughters and get them to safety, far away from the village. Though in the chaos of the village being absolutely destroyed, the guards end up getting separated and therefore Lavender and Sage are separated too. That's why Lavender ends up with Maria as that guard just brought Lavender to the first village they stumbled across and placed her on a random doorstep in said village, hoping that whoever found her would take care of her. Sage on the other hand remains with the guard that took her out of the village and is basically raised by this guard. Jack did not survive his battle with Eliza and after she completely sets the village aflame, she gets frustrated that she failed her personal mission and leaves.
Also I should mention that I've had a concept for my AU/rewrite thingy that the ruins of Lavender's old village eventually was taken over by the Eastern Werewolves and they transformed it into their new home. That small wolf pack eventually grew big and strong thanks to Zane and those old abandoned village ruins became a true force to be reckoned with. There's probably some symbolism there about something being given new life just to be destroyed again. But I don't know how to exactly put it lol. It makes an interesting connection between Lavender and Yip as they both technically lived in the same place at some point in their lives. There's also something there about kind of being the last living surviving of their old home. That's moreso with Yip than Lavender though as Sage is also still alive and therefore being another survivor of an entire village being lost. It's just that Lavender doesn't know about her old home nor does she have any knowledge of having older siblings outside of Dante and Gene.
When Lavender makes it to Phoenix Drop sometime in S2, she and Dante have a very awkward relationship at first. Dante is initially shocked to find out that he technically has a younger sister now. He also struggles to accept it as he almost can't help but feel jealous of Lavender (ain't that familiar). His brain makes him think that Maria replaced him with Lavender and he genuinely feels bad about those thoughts but they just won't stop plaguing him. Lavender tries to form a connection with Dante anyway. She wants to know all about her older brother, she wants to form a bond with him so badly. She was so lonely back in Boboros as her ice/snow magicks and the fact she couldn't control them isolated her from other kids. I like to imagine Boboros is harder on magicks users after the incident with the previous lord and his daughter. The people may not remember who did it but that memory of some magicks user doing it still lingers and therefore the people are uneasy around magicks users in general. When Lavender sees how Dante avoids her, she thinks it's because of her magicks which only makes things more tense between them.
The tipping point is when Lavender's anxious feelings get to her and cause her magicks to go out of control once again. Her emotions are deeply connected to her magicks so having bad anxiety does nothing to help Lavender. She ends up accidentally causing an ice spike to form out from the ground and it happens to point right at Dante. Very Elsa like I know but Lavender is honestly inspired by Jack Frost from ROTG specifically and not by Elsa. Lavender's bio dad being named Jack is a blatant reference to that but it is what it is. Kid me absolutely loved that movie so it makes sense that it bleeds through in some of my own creations. Anyways, Lavender panics as she thinks she has made Dante hate her now and avoids him for the time being. Dante feels even worse as he thinks it's his fault for making Lavender upset enough to cause her magicks to go out of control again. He has conversations with different people (Aphmau, Nana, Laurance and Aaron are the first people he goes to) to try and figure out how he can mend things with Lavender.
The next conversation between the two of them is filled with awkward silence at first until they both try to apologize to each other at the same time. And then they actually have a deep and genuine conversation and start to understand each other better. From then on Dante and Lavender actually form a proper older brother and younger sister bond. They are the coolest sibling duo ever heck ye. Lavender also becomes a great auntie to Nekoette. When Dmitri eventually comes into the picture it takes a bit more for him to warm up to Lavender but when he does, he, Nekoette and Lavender get into a lot of silly shenanigans that make Dante exasperated. He still loves the goobers regardless.
I was gonna write more but I forgor what else I was gonna write 💀 Guess this is what I'll write for now until I get inspired to write more lol
Hi. I remembered my blog existed again thanks to me suddenly having the urge to rant to my cousin about MCD (specifically Dante because I mean look at my blog) on a Discord call for like over 20 minutes I think. Hey I'm back though so that's all that matters. Anyway brain worms are kicking in and I just am thinking about the lore I made for my MCD OCs. Cuz I can't always think about Dante (sadly).
Thinking about one of them in particular though. Her name is Lavender and she is so cools. She's technically Gene and Dante's adoptive younger sister. And I say technically because Maria adopts Lavender long after the whole incident in which Gene erases the memory of Dante from everyone in Boboros. So Maria, who was a lonely widow (yes I have it in my rewrite/AU thingy that Gene and Dante's dad is dead), gladly takes in a two year old Lavender as she has no one else really other than her brother that occasionally visits her. Maria has no memory of having any other children, she thinks Lavender is the only child she has. And Lavender in turn has no idea that she technically has two older brothers out there. Well for awhile anyway cuz then Maria's brother tells Lavender about Gene and Dante so she ends up leaving Boboros at 17 (aka during S2) to go find Dante at the very least. She ends up bumping into Gene first on her journey though. Big oof. Also she has ice/snow based magicks but she's not great at controlling it.
I have a lot more I could say about Lavender but I don't wanna make it too long. Cuz I know that posting about OCs isn't what I usually do so ya know. But whatever I love yapping about my OCs and I love it when people yap about their own OCs too. OC posting for the win we love to see it.
Thinking too much about my most recent Dante and Gene based AU inspired by Undertale and Deltarune... the brain worms are taking over I fear. Also!! They are making me sooo ill in this AU (in a positive way though).
Gene and Dante are so heavily Asriel and Chara coded and it just pains me greatly even though I'm the one that created the damn story. With Gene, the guilt of what happened to Dante eats him alive which then motivates him to make such questionable decisions (and unfortunately leaves him vulnerable to Shad's manipulation). Gene really was trying his best to help everyone in this AU but he screws up so much because he really doesn't know what he's doing. He's offered not only immense power but Shad convinces him that helping Shad can help bring Dante back from the dead. It's sadder too because this AU is Mystreet and MCD and this specific version of Gene that the AU focuses on is the Mystreet one. So Gene did get his redemption arc that he gets in canon (albeit written better) only to have all that progress get thwarted because of his very unfortunate mistakes. He just wanted to save his friends and his brother but nothing went according to plan which made things so much messier than they had to be.
And bro don't even get me started on Dante's role in the AU because I could go insane from how much I want to rant about him. He's so much like Chara in the sense that he had so many problems just like them but just never got the proper help for it. His self-loathing problems were so intense that he just genuinely thought sacrificing himself to save the world of Mystreet (right in front of his brother no less) was the only purpose he had anymore. He was so very sure that his own friends didn't care about him anymore yet he still wanted to give his life and soul for them. Dante hated himself but he still saw the worth his friends lives had. He ripped out his own soul/essence and caused his physical body to disintegrate because of his love for other people. And then afterwards he becomes a ghost without a soul, leaving him virtually emotionless. Which is fucked because imagine dying because you loved and cared for others too much only to then become an almost emotionless husk of your former self that questions even why you died for people that might not even care for you in the long run. I mean he doesn't stay that way forever but it happens and surely messes Dante up a little once he gets his soul back (sorta it's complicated buutttt... at least he gets his emotions back so whateves).
I am very evil when it comes to my favorite characters. If they are not suffering for my own amusement then I am not satisfied <3 I give them a happy-ish ending though so it's worth it. I mean... Dante's still dead and Gene will need some extensive therapy but they're better and happier than before so I call that a win.
Anyways, I'll probably make a bigger and lengthier post on this AU later because I am cringe but free and therefore I won't give a shit what people think about my Mystreet/MCD OC being the main character of the AU <3
