People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy and I can't do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man, I'm flesh and blood, I can be ignored, I can be destroyed; but as a symbol... as a symbol I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting.
At school Riley had told people who asked that he would either be a rock star or an actor, "not being cocky, only because acting and singing were the only things I could do". It was a while coming. The Sopranos' all came down to the writing. I wouldn't have been on for as long as I was if the writing weren't so good.
