Introducing the faction leaders of what I'm gonna call the 'Time Shift au' until I think of something better!
The actual role swapping starts to come into play with everyone else since the main team were kept within themselves. Spoilers, there will be some switch in factions too (primarily autobots to decepticons), just cuz I felt it was the best and/or funniest choices. Still down for any suggestions though.
Speaking of funny choices, I actually only realized I made the more music-focused mechs the leaders now. (don't remember if Jazz was as into music in this continuity, but I ain't changing this!) So, this makes me think that Jazz and Soundwave had the sickest Music Battle of all time during the War. May draw this out later, but for right now here's these two!
Watched TF One a couple weeks ago, and loved it. Got me inspired...to draw TF Animated stuff. This show just has a special place in my heart, and priority when I hyperfixate on Transformer content. I may do something TF One related in the future though, doing this has been putting me in the zone for it so let's see if I can keep it up!
Anyway, this thing that I did!
Pretty much an Age/(kind of) Role Swap of Team Prime, and other characters to come later hinted with the text. As also seen from the text, even though they've swapped places, events have shifted too and changed the story a lot. mostly because these guys are still largely the same, they're just in different points in time. Honestly, the arrows indicating who switches with who is more about the age aspect of the Swap than anything else.
More to come later, when I can. But until then, we have:

Bulkhead, the war veteran who's seen better days
