i have a question, if thats alright. is a tulpa still considered one if part of the reason they are made was to cope with trauma and abuse? asking for a friend 👉👈

Hmm,, both yes and no.

If they were created knowingly to help cope with trauma and abuse then yes!

But if they were created unknowingly by the mind to ward off and cope with said abuse and trauma then your friend might have DID.

But don't just take my word for it! If available, try having a professional get a second opinion. I know its hard to talk about but if you have a therapist you trust, talk to them to help find out whether or not you might have DID.

What’s it like being a tulpa?

Uh,, personally for me??

Its like,,, hm.. I know how I look and what I sound like, but the body doesn't show it? Its often a feeling our host has. Where fae feels as if fae's not in faer own body.

Although that info might not have been needed.

It's often noisy here. There's a lot of us and most of us were created out of trauma, including myself. The rest of everyone else was created as a comfort or other reasons. Although I feel we'll be getting someone new soon because fae has recently been feeling numb. Fae tried contacting an ex friend for their birthday and they basically told faer to fuck off so.. Yeah.

But yeah, its just really noisy here and fae often wears headphones to drown out the noise.

I've decided to come.. Back. And apologize.

I've looked up the term Tulpamancy and while it has been adopted by those with Tulpas, it's technically a term for Buddhism and I apologize if it was used incorrectly. I wasn't looking into the tags I was picking but Tulpamancy has also been adopted by people who create/have Tulpas. I won't be using the tag anymore but I still won't accept hate on my blog.
