They/Them This is a blog for art and for commisions. I am looking to post one sketch out every day with more completed work down the line. Since this is the first time I've set up something like this commisions will open July 1st (Originally June 1st but pushed back due to problems with paperwork). Until then, I will just be posting whatever I feel like that day.

Lineage

After Robert's Rebellion, Valerius's younger siblings are married off.

Vaelin married the new Lord of Winterfell, having 6 children. Sindri Stark, an eccentric boy of 14 who is slowly growing into a bit of a philosopher. Magnus Stark, a boy of 12 who is wild and loyal like his father Brandon. Torin Stark, a daughter of 9 who is bold in combat in strategy. Sina Stark, a daughter of 9 who is a fearless little shit. Vidal Stark, a son of 5 who will eventually grow into a clever teen tired of bullshit. Jorun, a daughter of 4 who will grow into a lady that is tired of stupidity often takes leadership positions to fix the mistakes of others.

Varkus marries the youngest Tyrell girl who gives him 4 children. Mogun, a son of 13 who is a calm collected leader in the making. Vulgar, a son of 13 who uses clever words and facts to corner his enemies in court. Brakka, a daughter of 9 who has a habits of leaving nasty traps for her enemies on the battlefield. Kaelen, a son of 8 who is quiet and complimentative.

It all started in a bar.

Lord Valerius of House Draven could see the fall of House Targeryen coming despite being only a boy of 15. Unfortunately for him, his house had been closely tied to the Targaryen House since the Targaryen civil war, regulalry marrying into the house as well as serving as its loyal guards and assassins.

Valerius knew he would have to take action to protect his house and his newly born younger siblings. But he couldn’t do it alone. He had heard tales of an inventor from across the sea. A boy of similar age seeking to spread his inventions through the lands for the betterment of his fellow man. A boy of similar age seeking power that Valerius could offer for his aid. A boy by the name of Enver Gortash.

He was born looking like a Targaryen stillborn so his own marriage prospects were limited to houses like the Frey which would do nothing for him. It also meant he was limited to two marriage pacts to protect his family. Enver Gortash was more than willing to give him advice on these pacts, filling Valerius in on the high born gossip that House Draven's isolation had blocked them off from. In return, Enver Gortash was knighted for all to see after winning a tourney that just so happened to be tilted in his favor.

The Draven House Heir and his Bride

Yes more of this.

Because of his older brother's disposition which leaves him undesirable to women, everyone has come to believe that Varkus will be the heir to House Draken.

This made marrying off to a Tyrell girl, specically Olenna Tyrell's youngest daughter; Mina, rather easy (the boy's looks also helped). Mina had always been a clever girl, just like her mother though she lacked experience in scheming. Upon getting engaged to the young heir, the Tyrell girl was quick to wrap the naive and honorable boy around her finger. Getting self-assured promises of the world spilling from his lips.

If only she knew the weight behind those promises.

The Baldur's Gate 3 x Game of Thrones is taking over my head.

The Temple of Bhaal is now split between several houses with Durge being the lord of House Draven in the Crownlands and Orin coming from their vassel house; House Anchev.

House Draven had served as loyal assassins/guards of House Targayren since the Targaryen civil war (House of the Dragons). As such most of House Draven marriages have been to Targaryens or their bannerman. However, the Dark Urge; Valerius Draven, is actively seeing the decline of the Targaryens with King Areys and starts plotting to make sure his house remains in power after the fall of the Targaryens, working alongside a foreign inventor he met in a bar who wished to become a lord.

One of the ways that Valerius is doing this by marrying off his younger siblings, the twins; Varkus and Vaelin. Vaelin was initially going to be married to Jaimie Lannister however Valerius put a stop to these plans before they started after Cersei proceeded to act like a jealous wife about it and made an enemy out of Vaelin.

With the initial plan canceled, Vaelin was instead engaged to Brandon Stark as his father had Southern ambitions that Valerius could take advantage of.

I think Gortash and his Banites would THRIVE in the Game of Thrones so here is a rough draft.

The happiest that the youngest has been (outside of the murderer and questionable will they won’t they relationship) was when they saw a circus performance as a child.

It was shortly before they were discovered by the church of Bhaal and thrust into a life of religious sacrifice and bloodied luxury. They had been looking for scraps and had been separated from their elder brother in a crowd. When they finally managed to resurface from the stampede of bodies they had stepped in front of a clown using magic.

The clown had actually managed to instill wonder, curiosity, and happiness in the youngest twin. They proceeded to go on a massacre as Bhaal's madness took control (Bhaal didn’t want them to get joy from anything but murder to make sure they stayed on the oath he chose for them) but they always looking back at this memory with joy and even stole the clothes of a clown to dress up in total try and replicate that joy.

A more formal introduction to my durge twins and their designs before the amnesia.

The twins were never given names.

They grew up homeless and starving, constantly chasing after a joy they would only feel when gifted the feeling of euphoria by Bhaal after a murder. While there are two (one for each twin) times they have felt happiness outside of this that won't be delved into just yet. This led to their quick rise in the church of Bhaal with the younger twin taking on the distinction of Bhaal's Chosen. Though the responsibilities and benefits were split between them, the twins seeing themselves as a single entity; the Dark Urge.

When Gortash approached the twins with his plans for the Absolute they had been quick to accept in hopes of being gifted an endless euphoria by killing the world.

A friendship with Gortash would eventually start with Gortash with both twins and while it was the healthiest thing in the three lives it was toxic as SHIT. The twins would often use violence as a form of intimacy because they didn’t have a reference for healthy expressions of affection/love. Meanwhile, Gortash would be rather possessive of the twins. While he claims they are his only equals, and he does genuinely believe that, he is possessive of them, their abilities, and their time, even killing off people he viewed as overstepping.

Example: When the twins ‘died’, Gortash didn’t mourn their deaths but instead despaired and raged about how they had been ‘stolen/taken’ from him because possession was the only relationship he knew. Meanwhile the twins before the amnesia, leaned into this because being possessed was the only form of love they knew (possessed by Bhaal as his nameless children/chosen meant to kill in his name).
