DIY: Hello Kitty note pad
I posted this DIY that I made on instagram and someone told me that I should make a tutorial for it. So here it is.
(1) cutting board or 5-10 scratch paper in case you don't have one, (2) sticker paper where you could print or draw the design that you want, (3) specialty paper (180-320 gsm), (4) notepad print-outs; you can make this in MS word, (5) ruler; i'm so poor i don't have a ruler, i just to borrowed it from my brother, (6) double-sided tape, (7) glue (8) scissors, (9) cutter, (10) paper clips and acetate film(optional), (11) print-out designs in sticker paper or you could just cut out some pictures in magazines.
Cut-off the design that you made using a cutter or you can use the scissors if you have a steady hands.
Reminder: Don't forget to put the cutting board or the scratch papers under it. You might end up ruining your table.
After cutting all your note pad, take your specialty paper and put some markings with the use of a pencil then cut it using your cutter or scissor. You could also cut some acetate film to cover your note pad.
Take your note pad and specialty paper. Make sure that the pad and the cover are aligned; you can use the paper clip to hold everything in place. Next, put some glue on top of the note pad and spread it evenly. Wait for the glue to dry then add another layer.
When the glue is dry, you can now remove the paper clips and add the design that you like.
Take your double-sided tape and measure it with the width of your note pad then, put the tape at the top going to the back of your note pad. You can skip this step if you don't want to put an acetate film.
Remove the cover of your double-sided tape and put the acetate film. Make sure that there are no air pockets between the tape and the film.
You can add a piece of sticker paper on the top so the glue and double-sided tape will be covered.
You can create any design or size that you want. You can even personalize it by putting your name on the cover or inside your note pad. Just be creative. :)
