I have so many cosplay ideas that I will probably just never get around to because they are too complex for my skill set, I can’t decide on a final idea, I am just so goddamn unmotivated (thanks executive dysfunction) that other easier/more time-sensitive projects will get done instead, etc...

Some updates on my The Adventure Zone: Balance Void Fish cosplay for Dragon*Con/TAZ live event I’m making tendrils out of the sheer fabric and dyeing the skirt later this weekend (hopefully). I’ve never worked with LEDs before but it’s not too bad so far

For better or worse America has exported so much culture that really no one can claim that using makeup to darken their skin isn’t offensive. Anti-black racism is unfortunately everywhere as we have seen time and time again.

This is supposed to be a fun hobby. Choose kindness. No one is saying you can’t cosplay outside your race/ethnic group, we are just saying that you need to be mindful. Racism isn’t fair to anyone so let’s work end it. Starting with leaving skin color alone.

And if you can’t express a character without changing your skin....well I hate to say it but you’re just not very good at this.

I see a lot of people worried about sewing with knits but it’s so easy

You need a ballpoint needle and a zigzag stitch. That’s all you need.

It’s really not harder than any other type of fabric.

i’m at that unfortunate, early-enough-before con season stage where my brain wants me to make, like, 7 costumes by September. 

And while some folks can certainly do that, I am not one of them and its hard to pare down choices sometimes 

anyway back to obsessively trying to design my own fabric because why not make more work for myself anyway

Working on Wonder Woman today. Mockup is a bit big in the back but we’ll see if that remains after the lining and boning I am wearing my captain marvel pajamas too Two of my fave ladies together

Did you know that Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman costume is constructed remarkably similar to the bunny suit? It’s obvious now but I didn’t realize it until I started researching 

I’m slowly putting together a mockup using Cut/Sew’s pattern
