I recently had the pleasure of working with Dwiko Arie on a soft, natural beauty shoot. The brief was simple - to capture a woman's natural beauty with the appearance of minimal makeup (my speciality).
It was a wonderful shoot, taken in the relaxing surroundings of my home!

Hiiiiiiiiii!!! I'm sorry I've been super quiet, but I promise I've been busy!
Over the last few weeks I've been lucky enough to work on some fab projects, two of which have been for MTV Ex on the Beach star Farah Sataur, and MCM Worldwide with their top brand ambassadors Kit Lee AKA Style Slicker, and Carrie Harwood AKA WishWishWIsh.
Both shoots were so much fun, and I got to do what I do best, enhancing beautiful women's features! On all shoots I used Illamasqua Skin Base, the Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette and Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette. Kit was in love with her coral lips and left with a list of products to buy!
I'm so lucky to get to do what I always dreamed of, and love seeing a client happy.

Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation
RED ALERT!!!! You know I'm a makeup addict, but this recent discovery has to be screamed about. I have tried many foundations, the most expensive being near on £50. I'd been reading about Collection (formerly Collection 2000) liquid concealer and how amazing it is (loved by many beauty bloggers) so thought I'd try the whole range.
Lasting perfection foundation is the nuts and best of all, it's currently £3.99 at Superdrug. Yeah, you heard me, £3.99. The coverage is fantastic and it has immense staying power, plus It's oil free and has a SPF of 20. At this price, what have you got to lose? The concealer is phenomenal too. Go, hurry, buy!!

Makeup bargains!
Well hello hello hello! (yes, I've been watching too much RuPaul's Drag Race).
It's 2014 and time for a new fab look. But wait - it's January, which means no money! Well there is no need to boo-hoo all about it, for I, your makeup fairy god mother has a selection of goodies to help you feel fabulous!
First up, it's 'buy one get one free' on all Soap and Glory Makeup at Boots! There are some rather luscious goodies up for grabs, but the two on my shopping list are 'Sexy Mother Pucker' lip gloss in 'Punchbowl' (there is some tingly magic in that gloss, so be careful where you put those lips!) and 'Cheekmate' cheek and lip stain. Watch out though - a little goes a long way.
Next up, Superdrug with Accessorize Bronzing Block in Shade 1. With £2 off, this little box of colour is a bargain, plus the packaging is gorgeous too.
And finally, complete your look by giving your nails a makeover with Barry M. All of their varnishes are currently 2 for £6 at Superdrug. Why not copy Jennifer Lawrence who this week wore a deep red at the Golden Globes? I would recommend 'Red Wine' to nail this Hunger Games look.

2013...what a year!
You may have noticed that I've been off the scene for a little while. My life has certainly had it's ups and downs, and sadly my down was my health towards the end of last year.
But I don't want to dwell on the downs, I'd rather celebrate the ups!
I left a life of full time office work to pursue my dream of makeup. I was lucky enough to work with some fab ladies. From photo shoots, to promo events, makeover parties, proms and weddings, I got to do the lot!
I have exciting plans for 2014 and I hope that you'll support me all the way. First things first, I move at the end of this month meaning I'll have a wonderful new space to work in and do makeovers and trials.

Get the look: Autum Pumpkin
I adore the colour orange and I love that I can rock this look! The colours used were from a rather large NYX shadow palette which doesn’t list the colours, so I’ll do my best to describe what you need!
First prime your lids - use your concealer or primer - this will really make the orange pop. I used an orange that was on the peachy side. Because you’ve primed your eyes you’ll be able to make the colour really stick. Make sure that you pat the colour on - if you start brushing it on you will create a wash, it will mix with your primer and dilute the colour.
Once you have the intensity you want, take a small blending brush and apply a navy or dark blue shadow in the crease. Blend, blend and blend - you want a graduation of colour and no harsh lines.
Once blended, you can line your eyes with a soft pencil. I used Illamasqua’s Sophie Eye Pencil, which is black. Once applied, use a small blending brush to soften the edges - remember, no harsh lines.
I completed the look by adding the pencil to my waterline (which you don’t have to do - it can be uncomfortable for some!) and a few cluster lashes to my outer lashes.

This is the season for red wine stained lips and Sleek have the perfect product to help you rock this seasons hottest look! The Sleek Lip 4 Lipstick Palette comes in four colour variations - but the palette you need is Tease. Coming with four shades of red, two matt and two gloss, you have a great palette to create this season’s look.
Taken with and without a flash
The lipsticks have great staying power and are highly pigmented. You can wear them on their own, mix them to create deeper shades, or add a bit of gloss to make the matt colours pop.

Review: Bare Minerals
I was recently lucky enough to be sent some rather exciting Bare Minerals products to try out and I am in LOVE.
Today I'm reviewing the Moxie gloss in 'Rebel', Moxie lip liner in 'Empowered' and eye shadow quad 'The Soundtrack.'
Scroll to the bottom for a great daily look using the gloss and quad.

First of all - the gloss.....my goodness, it smells of mint choc chip ice cream! The texture is super smooth and glides on your lips. Worn alone it gives a light pink hint to your lips, but I think it works best over the lip liner, 'Empowered.' The lip liner is super creamy, moisturising and is so easy to apply. It can also be worn on it's own for a super matt finish.
This eye shadow quad in 'The Soundtrack' is everything you need to create a multitude of autumnal looks. Each colour is highly pigmented, and the two shimmery gold (remix) and bronze (louder) shades really stand out - especially when the light reflects off them. The dark green shadow (speaker box) can be used lightly to create depth in the outer corners of the eye, or all over for a strong smoky look. The cream colour (rhythm) is great for highlighting and also toning down the three colours for a lighter day look.
I was really impressed with these products, especially the quad. A definite must have for this season.

Get the look: Purple smoke
I've been gone for a while...but I'm back!
Here is a look that I'm sure I'll be doing again - purple smoke.
I first primed my lid with Maybelline's Color Tattoo in 'Endless Purple' and then covered my lid in in 'Psychedelic Sister' by Urban Decay. I applied Bobbi Brown's black gel eyeliner, in the crease and buffed it out to create a smoky look. You can also use a black or dark blue shadow or creamy pencil instead.
Using the Bobbi Brown gel liner again - I created a cat eye line. Finally, I added 'purple' liquid liner from H & M along the bottom lash line, and Illamasqua's Sophie eye pencil along the water line.
I completed the look with Illamasqua lashes in number 17, skin base in 3.5 and blusher in 'beg'. Lipstick is in 'Mystic' from Sleek.
LOVE these ladies. Or should I say, guys :) DWV are made up of Willam, Detox and Vicky Vox, and you might have seen them all on Ru Paul's Drag Race (can't remember if Vicky Vox was in it!). Their makeup is always on point. So on point in fact that they are OCC makeup cover girls! They've just release this tune: Blurred Bynes, which is dedicated to Amanda Bynes (used to be a kid movie star). These girls can sing, as well as rock it as gorgeous girlies. Covering up Damaged Nails
Years ago, as a kid, I trapped my thumb in a door. It ruined my nail and 25 years on its still not any better.
My nail varnish would always highlight the damage, but then I discovered Nails Inc A&E base coat and Albert Bridge top coat. These work wonders. My nail and the surrounding area has a way to go (now working hard to fix the damage), but I love that I can wear bright colours and not be embarrassed!! Nail colour is Instyle Coral by Rimmel
