I've always had a big crush on Malon ever since I became a Legend of Zelda fan. Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game, and I fell in love with the world and all its characters instantly. One of my favorite things about this world was Malon, the cute farm girl who loved to sing to her horse, Epona. When Link met her again 7 years later, she had become a beautiful, young woman. Epona grew up too, becoming Link's loyal steed. I always liked to imagine that if Link never ended up with Zelda, he would return to Malon as her "knight in shining armor".

Both of their worlds were flooded by the ocean, resulting in their evolution to their current species. Squids became humanoid creatures called Inklings and the Zora became the Rito. What an interesting comparison.

It appears that Squid Girl gear has shown up in Splatoon! From what we’re hearing, this new Squid Girl gear will show up in the Booyah Base now that the August update is live!

This famed Super Smash Bros. battle between President Satoru Iwata and President of NoA Reggie Fils-Aime will live on beyond the the ages. Surely Iwata used his final smash "Please Understand!" to win the battle!

This is very saddening for me. His legacy will always live on. He will be truly missed. Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto will temporarily take leadership until Nintendo decides on a new president.

There is no doubt that the best romance between Link and Zelda was in Skyward Sword. It's one of the biggest reasons it is one of my favorite Zelda games. Making ZeIda a village girl instead of a princess was a bold but great idea that gave a big opportunity for Link and Zelda to be closer than ever before and to be already so close the moment you start the game. They are childhood friends that have always been together since the beginning and have loved each other for a long time. Plus, the backstory of Zelda being a mortal reincarnation of the goddess Hylia and Link and Zelda reincarnating and meeting again every next life is a beautifully romantic bond that proves how inseparable they are. I hope that the romance in future games is even better and that it shows its full potential. While Ocarina of Time did have some pretty romantic moments, especially with the flow of time involved as a central theme, and Spirit Tracks did have some cute moments, they didn't go as far as they could have. Ocarina of Time could have had a teary romantic embrace like the manga adaptation and Spirit Tracks felt more like a childish romance that existed between two people that became great friends. At least Skyward Sword got close to a kiss scene and they did embrace each other! -Stephen
