Claptrap is so so SO cute but he's also capable of being crass and immature and an asshole. He's innocent but also jaded. He drinks and fucks and is clinically depressed. He says yahoo and makes flappy bird and Monty Python references. He's silly and forgetful and it's partly him just being like that and slightly memory loss from trauma. He's just so (grabs him)
