It wasnât hard for Regulus to leave his common room without attracting much attention, heâd gotten quite good at slipping away undetected while avoiding his brother. Even walking through the corridors towards the bridge- all it really took to get people not to notice him was to mind his own business and keep quiet. He still had a lingering, anxious pit in his stomach after talking to Sirius and trying to readjust to how busy and crowded Hogwarts was, and hanging out with Clarabel was the perfect solution to ease his mind. He smiled to himself as he came upon the wooden bridge and saw her, picking up his pace a little to get there all the more sooner. âArenât you a sight for sore eyes?â he called as he approached, smiling down at her.
It was then she remembered what she almost texted him:Â
[ text ]: You say such lovely things.Â
Because he did. The minute he became visible as he approached her, he already had such flattering words, and though she knew she shouldâve been used to it -- she wasnât. Years upon years of ugly words thrown at her from her parents and then there was Regulus. Clarabel immediately went to meet him throwing her arms and wrapping her champagne clad hands around him, and even if he couldnât see it at the moment, she was smiling.Â
âNow, you speak like that to the champagne and it might burst,â she teased, giggling as she squeezed him tighter.
