Cosplay Shoes for Cheap

Shoes are one of those unavoidable expensive. Most cosplay shoes need to be modified in some way or are encased in boot covers, but the base shoe is still sometimes $20-30 if bought brand new. I recently discovers the web site called “The $10 Mall” they have hundreds of men’s and woman’s shoes for $10 or less. I’ve been glancing through their merchandise and there are a lot of really good shoes that could be modified for many different costumes, particularly their boots. The carry a lot of knockoff Doc Martin looking boots.They also carry a lot of basic heels that are perfect for making covers for.   I plan on buying some stuff form them soon and will update on how good or bad the quality is  and what the shipping prices are like.

While there are many different techniques for painting foam cosplay pieces, this is the method I use for metal armor that works really well for me. So I have typed out exactly what I do in hopes that it will maybe help someone.

I specifically used this technique for foam Iron Man armor, but it can be used for most metal props.

There’s not too many people I care about. I love them so much. At the top of my list are my parents and brother. They’ve literally always put me first. There’s no way I can ever give back all the love they’ve given me.

Jelani: My best friend at Long Beach. He held me when I cried before and has been through the worst with me. As much as I tease him, he’s invaluable and I love him to death.

Carmen: The first girl I’ve ever truly been comfortable with. My ride or die. She’s the one of the first people outside of my family to see me cry and cry with me. No matter what she has my back. Like giving my old crushes the stare. Haha!

Alexa: My randomly selected roommate. It was fate though. I’ve told everything about myself. And sadly, she’s the only person who I can connect with about the loss of an immediate family member’s death. Not many people know the excruciating pain. But she does.

Daryl: He’s a bully but something like a brother to me. He’ll do anything for me I’m sure. He already has. He wants the best for me and never wants me to give up.

Chris: My momma duck. He’s the cheesy friend who says it as it is and doesn’t bullshit. But he’s light hearted and knows how to make anyone laugh.

Alex: My best friend in high school. She can get on my nerves but no matter what I can always come back to her and she’ll open her arms to me.

Anne: My big sis. She’ll literally get me out of any problem I’m in. She’s the one who I can turn to for guidance and I know I’ll be satisfied. A bit crazy but I know she’ll always be there for me.

Dorien: Sadly but true I care for him. We’ll always have that chill relationship and even though it’ll never work out for us I love whatever it is we got together haha.

Diego: After a long time we finally reconnected. And I missed the dork. He can get me to smile with his awkwardness. We nerd out and he’ll listen to all the bullshit I have to say.

Abraham: My ex turned good friend. An example that not all failed relationships turn sour. Him and I are now in the same situation haha. But we’re so honest with each other. And hard on each other. I love having someone brave enough to tell me when I’m being a prick.

Jesse: My main man. My best friend. Things didn’t work out for us as a couple. I feel so bad. He’s the sweetest ever. I really wish I could like him again. But that brings me to the last one on my list.

Him. The frequent cause for my sleepless night. The cure for my panics. A thought of being with him and I’m safe. But that’s all it is. Memories. I’ll never forget when he first walked by me. I thought he was a dork. When he first talked to me, I thought he was rude. When he first invited me over, I thought he was perfect. When he slept next to me, I thought he was adorable. When he broke my heart, I thought he was my everything.

Talking to him is so hard now. I don’t know what to do from here. Tell him I still like him? Keep trying to move on? It hurts so much I feel something crushing my heart, quite literally. Sometimes I think it’s unhealthy. So what please, what do I do?

Do you know of any good mask making tutorials for fabric or thin leather? I looked at your site and only saw latex or sculpting an already made mask and I can't put plaster or anything on my face to make a cast for a fitted mask cause it will make me break out like no tomorrow!
